One Piece

Seems like the reviewers for one piece are far more lenient than those of nartuo and bleach. Probably because One Piece draws younger viewers.

I didn't say anything about not having One Piece as your favorite equals not ever reading One Piece. Just that your weird comments about Luffy's devil fruit and complaints about something that all shonen experience was quite odd. While making a comment about other people having bad taste as the reason for them enjoying One Piece to a high level being uncalled for and rude.

Funny how the Water 7 arc doesn't exactly follow your narrow critic. Nor does the matter of a given equal predictable. While confusing devil fruits in general with Luffy's doesn't really make sense as mistakes go. Again, it was a number of things that make your comments seem odd for someone that read the series. A review composed of bile and weird complaints that don't make sense doesn't exactly scream having read the series that well.

And I find it interesting that you claim that we are suppose to find Luffy's devil fruit to be unique when it was suggested that there's more than just one. But how you feel about the uniqueness of his ability can be subjective so that can be dropped anyway.

Cool being subjective again and that last comment about "same with all action shonen" doesn't really make sense. I was referring to how odd it is to complain that one shonen jump is predictable on a given as if there's nothing unpredictable to be found.

More like I doubt you predicted what ability every opponent for each bout would have before seeing them. The matter of certain reveals like past early arcs and the recently done Water 7 arc, much less the current arc there is now. Still to many things going in One Piece that severely overwhelm any unforgivably predictable occurrence. Saying that you've read 30+ volumes isn't really much to me in comparison to the 48+ that is around. 48+ volumes that haven't just been simply predictable.

I'm okay with you feeling like its overrated. I'm okay when it comes to subjective claims. But weird comments that don't exactly make sense is another thing entirely.

Alright, first of all I will spend more time typing this out becuase of your lengthy response. Well done, a round of appaluse for you. Now to defend myself. First of all, notice that I gave the manga a six. In reality it should be closer to a seven because while it is not anything amazing, it is no way a poor manga. One of major reasons I'm writing a review about One Piece is due to the fact that I deem it unworthy of such popularity. I consider it one of the current big three along with Bleach and Naruto. While Bleach and Naruto have faults as well, I believe them to be superior to One Piece and the point of rating mangas are to compare them to others.

So going on with the devil fruit, I believe Luffy's stretching abilities have lost significance due to the abilities of many others. He is really nothing special in terms of what everyone else can do but he is rather powerful by defeating all his enemies. At first I was amused by his ability but after realizing almost everyone had some special ability, I felt the uniqueness wore off quite a bit. Sure, he is the only one who can stretch but hopefully you get my point.

You say I should not insult the users here. I would not insult users that are still in elementary school and middle school because they can like whatever they want really. But it is difficult to tell exactly what age group every user falls under. When there are comments saying the manga is perfect in every possible way, I can't help but debate that. No manga is perfect. Some come close to perfection but a manga that is perfect in every way, no.

I understand you are attacking me because One Piece is your favorite Shonen Jump. Very selfless of you isn't it? I have my opinions and you have yours. Obviously you're a big fan of One Piece. I had great expectations for it but they weren't fulfilled. My major complaints were the overabundance of people who had special abilities and the fact that most of the battles turned out to be quite similar. Of course this happens to many shonen jump mangas but because most people are at fault, you're giving this manga a free pass? I still believe this manga is overrated. I am not hating on it simply because I'm bored and have nothing to do. Out of the big three, this was the weakest manga. But as of right now Bleach is getting worse along with Naruto so I don't really know anymore. seriously.... this is the type of story where you dont have to be moved to enjoy it.... thats why they sometimes joke during the fights

After reading a couple chapters i decided i didnt liked one piece, a few days ago i read till zoro joins luffy and i really started to like it a lot. I have now read all of one piece and is one of my favorites.

although not very deep and with a simple and rather repetitive plot, One piece amazes me for its capability of coming up with new unexpected ideas. It's cool funny easy to read and addictive. If only the plot wasnt always: main character fighting main villain, side character fighting side villains I'd give it a 10!

What manga lover doesn't like One Piece?

The show on the other hand I can see a lot of people not liking.... especially the horrific english dubs.

Perfect character, perfect plot, perfect storyline, perfect art and drawings, perfect conflict and emotional scope...I think the greatest part in OP is that Oda was never made a duplicate in plot or storyline...So you will definately find a new sensation when reading the newest chapter or the new arc...And I really hope Oda keep his word and make OP till the 1000th chapter or more...

I love the characters.
Really, these characters are so fantastic!!
And I always can laugh even if it's a serious situation (well, it's often meant to be a serious situation but there just always have to be a joke XD).
So if you like shonen manga, action, humor, drama, crazy characters etc. you MUST read he manga.

Since everything that can be said about One Piece has already been said. I will just say that One Piece is my absolutely favorite manga and give it a 10 to boost the average score.

At first One Piece might seem like some kiddy story written by someone in middle school, but it doesn't take long to grab someone with its simple yet strong themes, and powerful drama. The art work is a bit strange but it's a small price to pay for one of the most epic manga in history that has proven to be an absolute phenomenon in its home country and is something everyone should have in their collection
