It is a long story.It can get repetitive. However it is amusing to say the least. The action is very unique, the characters are funny and interesting and you just simply want to know what happens next a lot of the times. The characters I find are one of the strongest points on One Piece. Each of them have their own distrinct personality and perhaps a not so good past. Realism is not something One Piece really has, but you still feel for the characters. Their struggle, courage and strength really gets to you a lot of the times.
I read the first few books. This is a very popular series, yet I don't feel any magical feeling when I compared it with Naruto. I believe there are many people who will rate it 10/10 but for me: Action: so-so, Pretty gal: nope, Story: so-so. Comedy: was there? Was Luffy heroic? I actually got bored!
Lastly: I know other people will recommend this but me, I'll pass.
