One Piece

i agree that this is a totally overrated manga...cant see wots so great about it that its the number 1 shonen manga running in japan right now...

After rereading this manga, it's much better than I had first thought. It seems childish at first, and it is. It's not a bad thing. It's amazingly funny, heart-touching, dramatic, imaginative and... Amazing, simply.

You should not miss this manga. It would be a huge mistake.

best shounen manga ever and great humour but i think the flashbacks are a little too long and kinda boring (and no romance at all^_^)

Yeah, This is probably the most grossly overrated manga EVER. It is freaking terrible. The art is god AWFUL. The story is generic at best. I don't see what's original about [insert shonen hero of a certain character class] wants to find [insert legendary item] so he can be best of [insert character class]. The characters are all really poorly designed. Also, One Piece just isn't cool like so many other SJ mangas. The characters and their powers are just plain lame. I could see a five year old liking this but nobody above that age should consider this crap.

Cause it's absolutely awesome. Read this comics always rise my imagination if i could live in that era, i would........ Ach, so many things to do and i cant write them one by one.
The first thing i gonna do is to meet them and have a chat.

Love the 1st few volumes but good lord..has any character matured beyond Usopp's desire to have the Merry Go not be destroyed and Luffy developing Gears (ala DBZ powerups?)? The answer is no..this is a vry long very very similar manga from whence it began almost 10 years ago. Is that bad?? No, but does it still qualify as a masterpiece..uhh no. Definitely not. Seriously, I love this board...it's dead on about Berserk and Gantz and Rurouni Kenshin but that Naruto has exploded in popularity worldwide dwarfing One Piece (and no I don't forget that One Piece was destroyed by 4Kids meddling) can't help but make me feel that this board is performing a hater service that one of their underground hobbies has gone so nuclear mainstream and therefore they must say "meh" to it while loving on their still underground hit One Piece. Is One Piece good? Yes. Is it great? Absolutely! Is it showing any signs of changing and moving ahead with major plot developments (and please do not sight the will of d lameness that has everyone related to Luffy)?? That answer is NO. Almost 7 years after Naruto..it has moved in new circles..almost 10 years after One Piece. its picked up a new crew and is on the same course it set out on. Average at best.

The manga is great, great plot, great characters, art is very beautiful. Only 1 chapter every week is not enough for this manga. Needs faster releases from the mangaka otherwise it will last for too long 🙂 .
People who say it has been going on for too long are don't understand that it would have no sense if the manga were short. Since it is a journey around the world and to find the ultimate treasure, if it was fast and easy and finished in 30 volumes, it would be worthless. And about the plot repeating, it changes bit by bit.

Compared to the other 2 great shounens, it is clearly above Bleach, which has become stupid and above Naruto as well.

this is one of the best manga's i've ever read. when i first heard and saw it i didn't think it was all that great and i couldn't see what all the fuss was all about. but i can now say with assurance that it is all that and a bag of chips. read it but make sure your ready for a long crazy ride.

I am from malaysia.Do u ever hear it?Well what i want to say that is one piece is a piece of artwork that have make me love the anime/manga ever since.Once you start to read/watch it you feel like you really want to be friend with them.u feel like your life fulll of fun with them as ur nakama.the word nakama playing the hard basic in one piece because the strawat pirrate group became larger by luffy became the saviour.Very fantastic story n i'v found the unknown country just like me(around the world) are downloading it.it is great.

For a manga that have been going on for such a long time and still keeps appealing to the readers is quite amazing. Some people don't realize how hard it is to make a long manga that doesn't seem to drag on (inu yasha anyone?). Sure, some plots may seem a bit long, but I find no chapters 'pointless' nor repetitive. Its an awsome manga, and I do hope that I'll continue its magnificience till the end.
