I read all of Volume 1 and decided I wouldn’t continue.This story isn’t bad, but it really never had a moment that hooked me, so to speak. When reading, I try to feel something for the characters, and to be honest, all I could eke out for the characters here is a "meh."Maybe I’m dropping out of this race too early, and the second volume is really a step up, but 20-something chapters should be plenty to get a reader somewhat invested.

I’m starting chapter 15 and have already  been drawn into this story. Love the story development and all the characters so far. I do hope author continues to the end. How many chapters can we expect? I hope it’s not thousands as most authors can’t keep the pace. Feeling excited and hopeful.
