Kubo always brings out some sort of stupid crap to save him and give him the victory.

Actually I believe that this rule applies to most shounen mangas.

The thing that really intrigues me about this whole fight is this specific kind of relationship Unohana and Kenpachi share. Zaraki killed many people searching for someone worth fighting against, he didn't hesitate to kill Ichigo or Nnoitra but in the flashback we can see Unohana losing to young Zaraki. So why didn't he just kill her and search for another, more powerful foe? Why did he chose to restrain his powers, so he could enjoy fighting Unohana more?

It's pretty obvious that Unohana is fascinated by Kenpachi's power and fighting spirit, as she looks at him with those clean, pretty eyes. Maybe calling it "love" may be pushing analysis a little bit too far, but that's just the feeling I get.I think Zaraki Kenpachi fell in love with Unohana, she must have been the first person that made him feel anything in a very long time. The reason he killed his powers and sword must have been because he was afraid he'd kill her.

Not sure about Unohana's feelings, but i do believe that her sin was that she was too weak to prevent Zaraki from doing that to himself, but she's not that weak anymore. She has to take this chance to truly push him to his limits, to make him desperate enough to go all out on her... she hasn't even released her bankai yet...

So Unohana and Zaraki knew each other from way back eh? And they fought with each other. This chapter was really interesting.

Young Kenpachi is a evil monster! Great chapter!

Sigh, I was really hoping that Unohana was going to teach him a least ONE of her 8000 fighting styles. I actually started to like Kenpachi more after he lost fighting at full strength(or so we thought), but now it looks like he's going back to being this boring unbeatable character again. It really doesn't make sense to keep making him so disproportionately more powerful than all the other characters. It's like, why do they even need to rely on Ichigo(or anybody else for that matter) when they can just send in kenpachi to one-shot the main bad guy?

So, I'm the only one who thought it was rather boring?

You're not alone. This chapter was so full of Kubo's trademark pretentious narration that reading it really felt like a chore. And that "sin" Unohana was angsting about was nothinhg more than "I'm weaker than Kenpachi and I can't stand it." A simple concept that could have been explained without all that navel gazing.

Zaraki Kenpachi as a kid was pretty epic.  He was already stronger than a prime Unohana!

So Unohana is literally inflicting a mortal wound, and then recovering him instantly.  It's like unlimited Saiyan power boosts.

Looks like he got her at the end there, so it should be over.

He always had the same sword too, man, this new royal guard just really effed everything up, we need some explanations.

If you think about it, Kenpachi's story is pretty similar to Superman's

His parents put him in a space pod to save him from impending doom on his home planet, crash landed on Earth, was adopted by country folk and grew up to be a part-time business man and hero?

:P

No the part where he put mental shackles on himself since childhood to prevent his true powers to exceed his whims

That actually sounds like Hercules too.(At least the Disney movie... To an extent.)

These overpowered heroes have it rough..

I thought that the Hercules in the Disney movie lost his powers because he drank a magic potion that took away his Godly hood o.o
