That little flashback of Unohana was really nice, how she met Kenpachi, and got her one and only scar.



Looking forward to the conclusion of this fight mostly in the next chapter, unless the autor switches to some other battlefield.

                        So Kenpachi was that strong all along....staggering.

I don't buy the stuff with the previous Zaraki's fights. It ruins the shit Ichigo had to overcome. During their duel Zangetsu talked how Zaraki's sword is just a tool and how this is their key to the victory, but now Kubo says that all that wouldn't matter had Ken-chan been at his REAL power level. Also, with Noitora he used his kendo skills(which from what I heard don't work that way, but I digress), not some power up, he could use it from the very start. He later on killed the strongest one(with tagteam with Byakuya) without breaking a sweat and said it was "boring" when he supposed to unconsciously restrain himself.

So while i believe that twist with Unohana was carefully planned I find the mention of the previous fights just made up right now.



EDIT: Also, is she really killing him or is that poor translation? So she has power of resurrecting as well?

So this explains why Kenpachi lost to Ichigo but won so easily against Nnoitora.



Awesome flashback, although I can't help but feel there's more to it and we will get more of it soon.

This chapter clearly stated that:

Ichigo was STRONG enough to bring Kenpachi on the verge of death.



Kenpachi limited himself against Unohana and Ichigo was actually strong enough to increase Kenpachi's power enough for him to own Nnoitora.

Yeah....no doubt that Kenny is and always will be the toughest SOB in this series.

Yes it doesn't. His victory was survival and fighting on par with Zaraki. What pisses me off about this is that Kubo now says that their success wasn't because of their unique bond but by luck because Zaraki wasn't at his best.

It's like Kubo is continuing to shitting about the connection between Ichigo and Zangetsu, because it was back in the past.



WTF does the connection with Zangetsu has to do with it. Ichigo still made the connection and got a step closer at bankai tha came later. Nothing cancels anything.

All Ichigo was doing was mastering his sword threw fighting and trying to reach what other shinigami captains and letenants already had. Is zaraki supposed to not win against anyone of them because they all have better connection with their swords. Then he would be just another pushover and not a big expeption to the rule that says you have to have bankai and stuff to be strong and captain and there wouldn't be a reason for his character to be created in the first place.



Just because Ichigo made a stupid connection at that point then he should be unbeatable? Then what the hell did he need all the other power-ups that come later? He simply got a little stronger, nothing more. What if it was the captain commander? He would have still kicked his ass even if he made a second connection too and reached bankai. So what then? Ichigo didn't get more powerful because he got his ass whooped?

Hell even Hollow and wild hollow Ichigo will lose against the captain commander. Only the form against Aizen would probably work so what then?

All the power-ups and fights that helped reach the level he reached where useless if he lost?

So enlighten me then. To me the picture of defeated Yami said it all. Huge slash on his chest and destroyed arm suggested that it was quick, no fun, whatever.





The panel you should be watching should the one with their expressions after they came back and said what they said. It was obvious they meant exactly the opposite of it actually being easy.  Have you never seen humans to that? We do it quite a lot.
