Of course laxus was going to win. Everyone from fairy tail will win against the spriggans no matter what. They will have trouble at first then they will talk some emotional crap about the guild or about friendship, get a random powerup and then win. This is how most of the fights happen in FT. There was no way Laxus was going to die.

The only thing interesting going on right now is Zeref and Acnologia. Can't wait to see them again. I would love it if acnologia suddenly appears out of nowhere and one shots someone from the guild like he did with serena but I am sure that won't happen. Guild's plot armor is too strong.

Except this was actually nice planned out. Random powerup? Can't argue with that since that happens in shounens a lot, and after time skips the character come with new moves we didn't previously see.

What I mean to say is that the story is very predictable and that makes it boring to me. I know no matter what nobody is going to lose unless they fight zeref or acnologia. Also none of the current generation members (natsu, erza, laxus etc) are going to die. The powerup may have been well executed but what is the point if you already know the outcome?

Unlike most people I find battles extremely boring in FT for this reason. I am more interested in the world of Fairy Tail and the stories of certain characters like Zeref, Acnologia and that death god who was mentioned in the manga. I find the adventure/exploration aspect of the manga interesting and not the fights.

decent fight, kinda thought laxus was gonna die (and kinda hoped he did at this point) but plot armor is pretty thick.

anyway, I'm pretty confused about the power levels in this arc in general. It's not like fairytail has ever had a clear definition of what it means to be strong in this series but like first they say the Spriggan 12 have equal power to God Serena and that he was the strongest mage in Ishgar. Okay but they are plowing through members of the spriggan 12 like every 2 chapters so that's pretty fucking dissapointing. Like, idek...

Yeah. Ether this guy was weaker than God Serena or it doesn't make sense how Laxus was overpowering him.

God Serena fought those 4 guys and kicked there asses easily. And the supposedly weaker of those(the bad dude) lost to Laxus in the magic games seemed to have about as much power as Laxus. Laxus seemed to have barely won.

So how can Laxus alone be overpowering easily(take notice how Laxus only got hit while feeling sick) that guy when that guy is supposed to be about equal in power with a dude that kicked the ass of 4 people at his level easily?

Yo can say that he got stronger in this year but did the others not grow? Did the bold guy not grow, and what about the number 2 guy that is three position above the bold guy? Did Laxus train so hard in that year that he overcame that guy too?

And considering Laxus was suffering from illness all this time how hard exactly could he train and better himself?

GS was definitely more powerful than Wahl.

I'm still very confused... So the runes cancel his anti magic particles? S: No. To break the barrier created by the runes he would have to use a magic that also nullified the particles within Laxus.

So do I get this right? Laxus used the barrier that he got from Freed. It was similar in nature to the particles that were killing him. Whal got rid of the barrier and at the same time the particles in Laxus body were removed?

Red lightning comes from nowhere... It's either something from Yuri (did he use red lighting in Mavis side story?) we never heard about, after effect of lightning dragon lacrima being exposed to anti magic particles or Whal removing limitations of Laxus lacrima.

Laxus really did have a nice fight. Now I wonder if he'll also be on the bench from now on for a long time or just for a few days. And this new power was cool.

A pretty typical Fairy Tail fight. Hoping we get some explanation for the red lightening that came out of nowhere.

Stupid how Laxus got rid of his sickness. Did like how it involved Freed's magic.

I agree with Laxus. He really isn't that much like Yuri at all.

So once again the universe basically gift wraps a FT member for the Spriggan to fight without any resistance (see also Marin shutting down Erza's magic) and they can't even pick off an easy kill.

Also, what was the point of bringing Badd back if he was just gonna go out with even less dignity than when he was bodied by frickin' Ichiya?

Laxus, very quick witted, created a barrier that forced Wahl to engage a method that would disable the magic particles (which aligned with those in his body). I think it's too early to say Laxus is 'healed', if anything it probably just gave him the brief reprieve he needed to win.

I don't see why people are so salty though, August basically implied back in the escape portion of the arc that Laxus held the power to kill a Spriggan. Y'all need to remember everyone had a full year to train.
