After being a willful young master for twenty years, Jian Yu was suddenly told he was the wrong child.
His parents mercilessly kicked him out, and his former friends kept their distance. Overnight, he was abandoned by everyone.
The only comfort left was his online lover who would never leave him. A famous boss in the game, this person was skilled and arrogantly took him flying. He has a gentle and caring personality and smooths Jian Yu’s hair every day.
After starting an online relationship, Jian Yu’s luck began to improve. When he was short on money, a top fan in his livestream would wildly showered him with gifts, a mysterious buyer purchased his artwork for a large sum of money, and even his meal card inexplicably had thousands of yuan added to it.
However, when the two officially confirmed their relationship and prepared for a video call, Jian Yu was shocked to see his nemesis, Lu Shijin’s face on the phone screen.
Lu Shijin: “…Hi.”
Jian Yu’s smile froze. He was dumbfounded.
*
Lu Shijin has always disliked Jian Yu’s arrogance and domineering behavior.
In the game, he had long recognized Jian Yu but chose to conceal it out of mischievous intentions.
But as his understanding increased, he realized that he had a lot of misunderstandings about Jian Yu in the past.
The real Jian Yu was cute and sincere, and was quite attractive.
Lu Shijin didn’t dare to act rashly and worked hard to repair his relationship with Jian Yu in real life.
Just when he thought their relationship had improved, Jian Yu complained to him in the game——
“Husband, let me tell you, my real-life nemesis has been acting really weird lately. He keeps showing up inexplicably and looking at me with disgusting eyes. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. I really want to punch him.”
Lu Shijin:
Who will save him?

The black demon
Although I wouldn't rate it below 3, the story is decent for a light read, providing a sense of positivity. However, one must overlook some peculiar red flags to enjoy it. If you're looking for a casual read and aren't too picky, it might be suitable, but there are certainly better novels available.
The school experience is barely touched upon, with the protagonist attending classes without any significant events or descriptions. The focus seems to be mainly on the online relationships, with in-game interactions and real-life interruptions occurring frequently. The pacing is uneven, alternating between lengthy conversations between the main characters and short bursts of action within the game.
While I initially had high hopes for interesting plot developments, after 40 chapters, the narrative has largely revolved around the MC, ML, and their best friends. Introducing new characters now feels forced and artificial, given the limited scope beyond these core individuals. With each passing chapter, my disappointment grows.
In conclusion, I believe I must stop reading at this point, as the story fails to meet my expectations and I'm losing interest. The potential for a compelling narrative was there, but the execution falls short.
Regarding Lu Shijin's initial remarks to Gu Wuzhong, those issues will be resolved later in the story without any excessive drama.
Here are the main characters:
- Jian Yu (protagonist, shou): He's sharp-tongued and guarded, often appearing dominant, driven by a need to protect himself after being neglected by his parents. Despite his tough exterior, he has a tender heart and thoughtful nature, but struggles to express emotions.
- Lu Shijin (love interest, gong): A mischievous and shameless character, known for his impulsive behavior and occasional dominance. His antics, like scaring Jian Yu's parents, add humor. Though he appears mature in real life, he's actually a playful and devoted partner once he realizes his feelings for Jian Yu.
The novel leans towards comedy, with most of the early plot set in the game world. The drama mainly centers around Jian Yu's strained relationship with his parents and the lingering effects of their neglect.
Overall, if you enjoy MMORPG-themed stories and unique, mischievous love interests, this book would be a fun choice. It's suitable for readers who appreciate characters who act their age, even if it means making mistakes along the way.
It's evident that Jian Yu has never experienced much love or support in his life. Naturally, when faced with an overwhelming affection from the ML, he was defenseless against their manipulative tactics. The supposedly cute and light-hearted romance turned into a chilling tale of deception and control, which left me feeling nauseous. I desperately wish for someone to rescue Jian Yu and protect him from the clutches of the ML – I beg for a happier ending for him.
