I have so many thoughts on this novel but the one thought that ran through my mind the whole way through was how terrible the ML is lol. I feel so bad for Jian Yu he really jumped from one abusive household (neglectful toxic parents) to another (gaslighter gong). At least his mother-in-law is decent?? Probably the only character in this novel that actually cares about Jian Yu's well being.You can clearly tell poor Jian Yu hasn't been given a lot of love by like anyone ever in his life. So the second he got love bombed by ML of course he stood no chance! AAH it makes me sick I know this is supposed to be some cutesy fluffy danmei but the whole thing just felt like a horror novel. Reading about Jian Yu slowly falling for ML's lies and manipulation made me sick to the stomach. Someone please save Jian Yu and get him the f*ck away from ML I'm begging.
