In the anime, Rin Suzuki is a second-year student at Shugyoku High School. She is both a friend and rival to Tamaki Kawazoe.

By employing the ascension stance, Rin became the first person to defeat Tamaki. In their rematch, she was pleased to see that Tamaki had improved, as it fueled her determination to win even more. However, Rin ended up losing this time.

Like Tamaki, Rin is a fan of the Blade Braver anime series. But unlike Tamaki, she is primarily a fan of one of the show's antagonists, Shinaider. Rin traveled with the Ozawa Swords and Company Association while they choreographed and filmed fight scenes for the Cosmo 13/Blade Bravers movie. When stuntman Fujimura got injured on set, Rin took over his role as Shinai-Girl, which led to Tamaki filling in as the High School Girl.

Rin has not appeared in the manga. However, Teramoto, the coach of Touryou Academy's Kendo Club, mentions "Suzuki from Kanto" as someone who could potentially be chosen as one of the "Nine Kendo Beauties," making her a potential rival for Ura Sakaki.
