Miyako Miyazaki, known as "Miya-Miya," is a freshman in high school. She is described as a very attractive and friendly girl who surprisingly is the girlfriend of Danjuurou. However, beneath her charming exterior lies a dark and sadistic personality that she conceals to maintain her relationship with Danjuurou. In the manga, she is depicted smoking at school and hanging out with two girls who might be delinquents, but these traits are not shown in the anime.
When Miyako reveals her more sinister side, she is enveloped by a black aura and behaves eerily and cruelly. Yet, she swiftly reverts to her amiable facade whenever someone approaches or calls her name. Initially joining the Kendo Club only because Danjuurou was part of it, Miyako finds it boring at first. Later, she starts enjoying it after realizing she likes hitting people. Her strikes are swift and powerful, though initially in the series, she focuses solely on attempting to hit her opponents' heads (as seen in the anime). In one episode, Miyako attempts strikes at other parts of her opponent's body, although none count due to incorrect posture.
Miyako has an intense fear of her middle school classmate, Reimi Odajima, stemming from a past romantic incident that led Reimi to stalk her ever since. As the series progresses, Miyako's kendo skills improve significantly, culminating in her scoring a kote point against Azuma in episode 22. During competitions, she plays the position of Second-Vanguard (Jiho).
