Danjuurou Eiga is a round-faced and unassuming first-year student who joins the Kendo Club along with Yuuji. Initially, he had aspirations of joining the Ping Pong Club, but his school lacked such an option. His decision to bring his attractive girlfriend Miyako to join the club astonishes both Yuuji and Kojirou. Although Danjuurou finds basic training monotonous—possibly due to his desire to impress Miyako—he demonstrates considerable skill in scorekeeping, as highlighted in one episode of the anime. Despite generally appearing somewhat naive, it seems he has a knack for noticing aspects about Miyako that she prefers to keep hidden. In Episode 11, hints emerge suggesting Danjuurou harbors a "dark side," particularly during a staring contest with Kojirou. However, his "black mode" is more subdued compared to Miyako's, manifesting only through his eyes. Despite having no prior experience in Kendo, Danjuurou shows rapid improvement, leading Yuuji to speculate that he might surpass him before graduation. Yuuji even comments in one anime episode that Danjuurou was seemingly "made for kendo." Interestingly, Eiga stands out as arguably the smartest member of the Kendo club, having secured second place in the Muroe High School Regional exams for freshmen. By the conclusion of the anime series, it is revealed that Danjuurou has been appointed the new captain of the Kendo Club.
