Moe is one of Ichigo's friends and also her classmate, though she remains unaware of the Mew Mews. Similarly, Miwa Honjo, another of Ichigo's friends, has no knowledge of the Mew Mews either. These two are often seen together and appear in almost every episode of the anime.
In episode 23, Ryou Shirogane rescued Moe from some thugs, leading her to develop a crush on him. Meanwhile, Miwa had a crush on Keiichiro Akasaka. Following Ichigo's suggestion, both Moe and Miwa decided to make gifts for their respective crushes in hopes of winning their hearts. They put considerable effort into crafting these gifts, but unfortunately, both boys rejected them, leaving Moe and Miwa feeling disheartened.
Later, Kish stole Moe and Miwa's spirits to create two Chimera Lovebirds. However, Ichigo managed to defeat them. Fortunately for Moe and Miwa, Keiichiro and Ryou admitted that they actually appreciated the gifts. Still infatuated with the two boys, Moe and Miwa pledged to start a fan club dedicated to Ryou and Keiichiro.
