Mint is a wealthy girl accustomed to a lavish lifestyle until she was infused with the DNA of a Blue Lorikeet. Initially shocked and unsure, Ichigo guides her through this transformation. Mint quickly embraces her role as a Mew Mew and understands the responsibilities that come with it. Her introduction in episode 2 ("A new comrade – Justice lies in a real lady ~Nya!") differs slightly from her manga debut. In the anime, Ichigo doesn't meet Mint or her other teammates until this episode. After Mint's dog, Mickey, licks Ichigo's face, she gives Ichigo a handkerchief. Later, Ichigo follows Mint home when Masha detects something unusual; she intended to find a Chimera Anima, not to confirm if Mint is the second Mew Mew. Ryou never informs Ichigo that Mint is her teammate - it only becomes clear during a battle when Mint's Mew Mark is revealed after her dress tears at the back.
Mint can be mean, lazy, snobbish, and sarcastic at times. One person she consistently shows kindness towards is Fujiwara Zakuro, whom she admires almost obsessively. Her world revolves around her pet dog, Mickey, whom she deeply cares for. Mint enjoys her afternoon tea and seldom helps out at the café. Although Mint acts snobbishly towards Ichigo, she is empathetic, caring, and values her friendships. Her feelings are easily hurt. She often drinks tea at work, referring to it as her "daily ritual," instead of assisting others.
Mint comes from a wealthy family and lives in a mansion. Her parents are rarely home, leaving her grandmother to look after her. She has an older brother named Aizawa Seiji, who appears in episode 9 but not in the manga. He is more serious and doesn't spend much time with Mint due to his business commitments. Once, he called Mint "lucky" because she only does ballet. The Mews met him in the episode, but he didn't pay much attention due to being busy. When Mint performed ballet, she wanted Seiji to attend, but he couldn't make it even though the Mews tried to persuade him. When he finally came, Mint told him to get back to work, which angered him. As Seiji was leaving, a Chimera Anima attacked them. Mint scolded the monster for hurting her brother, who had tried to protect her. After defeating the Chimera Anima with Ichigo, Seiji gave Mint some flowers to show he still cared for her.

In the English dub Mew Mew Power, Mint's name was changed to Corina Bucksworth, and in the Italian dub, her name was changed to Mina Aizawa. Mint is the second of the five Mews to appear in the series.
