Their mothers met in a cooking class, leading to Mamori and Sena becoming close friends. Mamori's mother is half-Japanese and half-American, making Mamori 25% American and 75% Japanese. Since primary school, Mamori has been shielding Sena from bullies, resulting in Sena never having to stand up for himself. She joined the American Football club to watch over Sena and prevent any bullying by other members, particularly Hiruma. Despite her initial intention, she became an excellent manager who knows the rules thoroughly and develops strategies for the team. Due to her difficulty with computers, she does all her work on paper. She memorized all the American football rules in one night and could answer Hiruma's questions in great detail. A lovely girl, Mamori excels in all her studies except for art, which she struggles with. She helped Sena with his high school entrance exam and is also a member of the school's disciplinary committee. Though she often clashes with Hiruma, she eventually discovers a softer side to the Devil Bats' quarterback. Her favorite food is Italian cuisine and cream puffs.
