Despite this, local officials readily comply with his directives, and he does not hesitate to employ violence to quash opposition. This fervor stems from his earnest ambition to safeguard the City against all threats. His ace in the hole is the recently established Department of City Security, a civilian guise for his Municipal Force Daitenzin, into which Watanabe, Iwata, Sumiyoshi, Misaki, and Ropponmatsu have been enlisted. Both the anime series and the manga hint at a longstanding acquaintance between him and Ilpalazzo.
