Ooo, I remember not liking him coz he kept clinging to MC. Turns out he's a good guy.... I'm glad he got a good ending. 

Nobody asking the right question. How did they fell in love? When did they become official? Who proposed first? Whats the first kiss? How was their wedding day!? About their kidsss? 

I read this a bit long ago so sorry for some vague info... but yes, even early on, ML is already distant to her, it was only due to his respect to her mother that he treats her good but compared to MC, he will always side with her. However due to some schemes of his family, and i think the public too?, he cannot without reason kick her out.. after some time, she was only relegated to this far-off courtyard and she cannot meet with ML anymore. Unfortunately, ML has one subordinate friend that is sympathetic and in love with her. As he knows that both MC and ML are both in love with each other, he proposes to wed her so she can be safe but she won't agree citing her love for ML. It came to the point that something happened, ( i have to re-read as i forgot), that made the ML not forgive her anymore. She schemed something, but she got betrayed by her "faithful" maid who was bribed by someone. Dhe went crazy, totally showing her true colors of being a user and a hypocrite to all people there even that subordinate that was in love with her. So as result, she was sent far off the capital as she already went crazy...

They leave the village round Ch 625. The ML leaves the MC before they reach the capital. Once he reaches the capital he is asked to report to the military barracks and can't come out. MC doesn't know his exact whereabouts either. ML has told his family in the capital that he is married and MC will be arriving soon after. When MC arrives in the capital she has the delulu girl with her. The ML's relatives try to humiliate her thinking she is a country bumpkin. They want to make sure she is bullied and kept under their control so that ML won't want to move away from them. Living with the ML gives them access to all the rewards and wealth that the emperor gives ML for his meritorious deeds and ML's name helps the uncle and cousins to advance in their official careers.
