I'll be honest, the start was a bit weird, but once it hit the part where it said 'the story is dark'... I was hooked! Something about that resonated with me. Great job, author - keep going! 😂🙏

For a novel in the fantasy genre with this kind of storyline and world building..I think your novel is doing fine...The events are well planned as one leads to another without been disrupted.      The action pace are good and gives the readers enough time to absorb it and follow the MCs part ...What can I  say.
