Probably means that he feels that he cannot bear the burden of hatred himself if he has connections like that with people.

Yeah, but when he was seeking power he still refused to kill Naruto to obatin new sharingan, after their first battle in that valley.

He is not the same person as he was back then. Different reasons for wanting to break his bond.

Fantastic chapter. Sasuke is ready to commence the revolution by dealing with Naruto first. Let's hope this battle will be similar to the fight of Kakashi vs Obito in the anime. Just like a billion times better. xD 5/5

Well, Tobirama handled the 'darkness' of the village at that time. Hashiramas brother was like a Vice-Hokage before he became second Hokage.
