not really looking forward to the fight, but rather the conclusion itself.

Agreed. I would have actually preferred if they continue to talk in the next chapter as well, I want to read more of Sasuke's thought process. I'm more interested in the conclusion and how Naruto is going to handle this, than the actual action.

It's because he is his best friend that he still has a bond with Naruto, that he wants to destroy it. He thinks that for someone to do what he is planning to do, he can't have past relations, it might hinder him from doing what he wants to do ''My Hokage needs to cut all relations to be complete''.

Not just a different idea, the basic thing to understand is that Naruto will oppose him and will be in the way of his revolution, I can't explain it simpler than this. And he is technically the only thing standing between Sasuke and his plan and vision.

That was about the cycle of revenge and hate, as he did for those cloud Ninja and was going to do, if Sasuke was still driven by revenge. Sasuke's hate is more general, just think of  it as Lelouch's, to concentrate all hate on him, in order for unity and peace to exist, basically being the supreme ruler. He is willing to kill the tailed beasts and the kages for it, Naruto isn't.

To sum it up:

Naruto's concept of a Hokage, is an idealistic one, that he wants to do with everyone.

Sasuke's is a realistic or a cynical one, that he wants to do alone.Uhm well thanks for the reply. I thought about it for an hour and I couldn't identify what exactly was my problem. Maybe I am just too tired now. I'll see if I still have a problem with it tomorrow. Thanks again.

Sasuke is reason are quite understandable (and people need to agree about him) the only thing that he is wrong is that he wants to kill all Kages and Bijuus... He think that they will turn evil once again and make the hatred rise. He is wrong.

I think it's more of him wanting to get rid of the past Shinobi system as stated by him. The Bijuu and the Kages were the pillars for that system, by getting rid of them, he does destroy the past, and build his own vision of unity and peace.

Yup exactly, Sasuke wants to build a new system by himself. This is going to be some amazing fights... emotional, frighting and full of light and dark.

PS: That word by Sasuke "He was the closet thing i had to a best friend" made me smile and almost cry ;_;

According to one of the data books, he died in a civil war or something. The explanation being that all his battles with Madara weakened him.

That's what someone told me.

It was said, he died in a war. But we don't know more regarding that. However, he lived long enough to fight Kakuzu after all.

i will take those explanations instead of speculating forever about it

"He had to live in the darkness with his bitter experiences. The people treated him like a criminal... a traitor... He shouldered all these feelings by himself, but even so, chose to protect Konoha village from the shadows...It's someone like him that should've been Hokage" - Sasuke Uchiha

^This is now one of my favorite quotes in Naruto. Also increased my love for Itachi.

I love this chapter actually, I can understand what Sasuke is going through and to think he wants to do this all alone, he has lost trust with everyone and doesn't believe in anyones ideals except his. He believes his idea of Revolution is the only solution to this "darkness" and by doing so, it is by removing the past which are the present 5 Kages.

I also liked when Sasuke said  "I don't care what you guys think of me." , He shows how indifferent he is towards everyone and thus this INCLUDES Sakura too.

Very political view from Sasuke's point of view. Though what I took from this chapter is that Sasu wants nobody's help and that he will be the hero and be the darkness by killing Naruto.  Also the surprising this is that Sasuke said he actually said that Naruto is the closest thing to a best friend he has ever had. Great chapter

5/5

No way this stuff is going to have a satisfying conclusion. It's been going everywhere with its plot and stuff doesn't even make sense half the time.

If this fight ends with the two of them being all buddy-buddy this shit is going to get like a 3/10 from me. Can't see the mangaka turning that into something believable.

It's obvious that neither of them will die. That's the point of the series. This series is called Naruto for a reason.
