if zangetsu isn't the true form of his zanpakuto , then why the hell did ichigo had to fight him to get the bankai ? and why couldn't he use bankai when zangetsu was released from him by muramasa .... and now ichigo has quincy, fullbring ,soul reaper and hollow powers and yet his quincy power is the one in charge.. damn it now we have to wait till next chapter to hear the story from zangetsu.
let me say this.. the one that Ichigo always named Zangetsu isn't his zanpaktou ,but Zangetsu is still his true form of his zanpaktou ,only that Zangetsu is actually the "White" Ichigo ... understand now ? ..well i'm confused with one thing ..his bankai test

This is crazy. Did Kubo plan it all so long ago? Look at Ichigo reiatsu - it's the hollow mask.
There was this conversation in inner world where the old man and white had a talk about Ichigo. White asked the old man to train him well O.o

It happened as early as in the first fight with Kenpachi.

Ichigo shinigami and hollow powers are what Aizen was working on all this time. Perfect Fusion of Shinigami and Hollow.
What Aizen lacked since the early experiments on shinigami and on Shinji team is the Quincy element. Every experiment on fusing shinigami and hollow Aizen did ended with soul suicide. Shinji and other visards only survived cause Urahara used Hougyoku on them - it granted him the wish to prevent the shinigami from dying. Visards could also be saved just by the fake body he got them. Whatever it's not important.
Since the early time White (Ichigo Shinigami and Hollow inheritance) were going for Ichigo life - I think he was young and wild at that time maybe due to Ichigo own problems like blaming himself of mother death or inability to save everyone (or need to save everyone). White didn't want a pussy for a master.
What prevented White from devouring Ichigo soul and causing soul suicide is Quincy element inherited from his mother.
Old man "Zangetsu" looks like young Bach cause all Pure blood Quincy where somehow related to Bach himself. Not as close as grandfather but more like 800 - 2000? years old ancestor.
I have no idea what or who is young "Zangetsu". Super young Bach or Ichigo original pure quincy power void of Bach interference. Maybe at one point White Zangetsu had a fight with Old Man Zangetsu and finally subjugated him (before the whole training with the visards or maybe near the last fight with Grimmjow and Ulquiorra. Inoue interference with healing might also had effect on Ichigo balance of power.

Why is it weird that Ichigo looks like Kaien? During his father's flashback it was revealed that Isshin is a Shiba, meaning Ichigo and Kaien are relatives. Isn't normal for relatives to look like each other?
Which unlike Bleach didnt just create "plot twists" that had no foreshadowing or werent speculated by readers.
Nobody said that it is weird(I am referring to the 2 posts that I know that mentioned Kaien.)
My bad, I guess I worded it wrongly. They were talking about the character designs have no indication to the plot or something like that, but by revealing that Isshin is a Shiba should explain why they look alike. If anything it was a foreshadowing that Ichigo could be related to the Shiba?
