I didn't think the chapter was that bad though related to Utsuro. But yeah, the seriousness of this arc feels a bit different than I had expected. Hope to see more comedy in this arc.

Too be honest, I wasn't a fan of this chapter. In the beginning it felt too cliche and I didn't want it to take that path. But reading this made everything change for me. Everything has become clear about and I see how Sorachi is going to take this.

Don't like the fact it is going the cliche route of sensei vs comrades. But I hope Gintama won't end after Gintoki defeats Shouyou/Utsuro.

Wow I'm surprised at the negative feedback in here but I can see where you are coming from, the immortal metaphysical power vampire crap does indeed feel surreal and I'm wondering if the Gorilla pulled this out of his ass or planned it from the very beginning?  :D

I don't think that this confirms Sensei being the final boss and Gintama ending in a cliched way but the chances are there :/

Insane chapter with very heavy Star Wars vibes and it just feels so weird getting to know who Sensei truly is...wtf Sorachi.

Wow, that's interesting! It explains why the tendoushuu were after Shouyo and how he came back to life. I'm glad he came up with a good explanation.

A long break from the comedy and I really don't mind. Seeing Gintama go along with a serious plot is pretty sweet.

So the whole serious plot was Takasugi taking revenge for his beloved teacher.Now the beloved teacher is an evil immortal space creature .Yeah this chapter just ruined the whole plot,I hope Sorachi can save this.

I won't make so much drama of all this 'cause I know I'll get trolled in the end somehow.

I just ganna be curious about the character development from now on.

I don't thing Utsuro is kind of a final boss, specially that there are more than one ALTANA or whatever.

I felt sorry for the elders of Harusame. They get blowed away like nothing from their 1st appearance.

Unless he lost is memory or a really good excuse, he's quite a jerk. Making Gintoki think he killed him all this time and allowing (or causing) Shinsuke to go off the rails.
