BLAME! Chapter 66 Discussion

I really like how inventive the setting was along with the way it adapted the main character and in general mechanics of this series. 8/10. Great artwork. Hoping for a full TV series adaptation in the future that gets a similar Sidonia treatment.

The art decreased so much towards the end. And I couldn't grasp the overall theme of the manga and what's even the plot?!

Fucking hell, 4/10. It was pretty decent in the beginning. Overall, waste of my time.

as the manga went on i felt that it would have a very bland end. good overall but could have been better

The concept and visual of this manga were amazing, but it was way too repetitive at times and could have been compressed to 40 chapters or so.

The chapters went so fast. The art was phenomenal and so was the cinematic detail. Deserves and reread.

7-8/10 ☺

Can someone PLEASE explain a few things to me...!? This manga is so awesome but REALLY confusing.

1. Is Cibo dead?? Is yes who killed her/or how she died, if no where is she now, she is such an awesome character!

2. I assume that i read that Cibo got pregnant? who's baby was that?

3. Who was that little Dark Haired girl that talked to that giant?

4. Did killy drown in the end?

5. Did Dhomochevsky get killed? if so by who?, or did he disappear?

6. Is Sanakan actually a bad or a good person i dont get it? Why is she trying to protect Cibo?!?! O.o

Someone please answer!

As someone who read BLAME! years ago, I'll try my best to answer your questions.

1) Yes. She died in the fight against the exterminator. 2) Sanakan *probably*  introduced some of Seu's genes into her. 3) I think it is the manifestation of the personality stored in the Mori pendant. 4) Read the last chapter again. 5) Yes. The lvl9 Safeguard killed him. 6) The Safeguard one is bad. The real one is good. Simple as that. As for your other question: She was mainly trying to protect the Net-terminal genes inside Cibo's core.

I hate stories where you are supposed to re-read the whole thing again to be able to understand what is happening. Despite the beautiful art, this was a confusing manga to the least.

Maybe I ain’t smart enough to understand what Nihei was trying to tell, but I really think the author over complicated this whole thing for no particular gain.

I actually like when the explanation of a story comes up just at the end, and I really hoped Blame would move in that direction, but until the very end I was just clueless and the ending proved to be just as confusing as the rest of the story.

I have no doubts Nihei aimed to go deep, but in my opinion he went too deep and away from the reach of a common reader.

Once again, the art incredible, almost every page is a masterpiece and I really enjoyed those beautiful panels. But a great art doesn’t make a great manga, and the ideas behind Blame, how mindblowing they might be, where maybe just too mind blowing for me.

I wish I’d liked it more, but I won’t read it again. I’d give it a 5, but give it a 6 just for the art.

the art was phenenomenal but the story was a biiit lacking, I get that this manga is trying to do a lot of showing without telling so you as the reader can figure out the story but it wasnt much of a story I found interest in still the art was amazing and the action scenes were pretty good 6/10
