BLAME! Chapter 66 Discussion

I didn't like the ending, as I'd preferred more answers about the world and characters. But it was fitting. I loved the last few chapters actually, as they had no massive conclusion, but just continued with the world exploration. I'd also preferred more of this instead of all the action.

At times I hated the art, as I had no idea what was going on on some panels.

It was a good read overall and I loved the world.

Silicons need to die.

is this manga supposed to be like totally metaphorical because I wonder if it's about pregnancy. Like, maybe Cibo had one of those online babies where someone orders for an egg or sperm and then Cibo got pregnant. But in the end the baby had a miscarriage or something? Ugh.. I have no idea. -__-

It's hard to come up with something more stupid, wow

well it seems everything people say about this is true. Complex structure drawings, MC with a total word count of like 100, not much to read.

But thats not necessarily great. The story was all over the place, not in a way I enjoy it. Everything was sort of OK till toha heavy industries. After that everything was "WTF? What is happening? Where is cibo, where is killy, who is this?!"

I would really like to see a full anime of this. The show could polish many things like the plot. Im glad I finally read this and I will re read it more carefully. But I was expecting something "better".

Much wasted potential imo.

I took my sweet time reading Blame! and following the discussion forum to fully understand and enjoy the manga. Was definitely worth it. Overall, Blame! was good. Nihei could have omitted like 10 chapters that weren't necessary to the story progression. I really liked Killy and Cibo's characters. Especially Cibo. At times there were panels that were a bit incomprehensible at first and I'd get confused about what was going on, but since I took my time, I was able to fully grasp and enjoy the story. I love Nihei's style of "show, don't tell". It works for him and I genuinely love his art style.

I rated Nihei's other work, Biomega an 8.7/10. I read that right before reading Blame! I think I enjoyed Biomega a bit more, so I'll have to give Blame! an 8.6/10. A high 8, low 9. I'll round up and rate it a 9 on here. Next I gotta read Nihei's other short works that tie in with Blame! such as Blame! Gakuen and NOiSE. I'm saving Knights of Sidonia for last so I can also watch the anime as I read the manga.
