I'm imagining people sitting at their computers or in their phones, shedding tears to this BS and LMAO 😂😂😂

How dare people feel saddened and tear eyed at lovers being forced to fight each other to deat!h!!!!A man being forced to beat his loved, one, a double suicide, angst, flashbacks of memories, and another death!!!.. Who the fuck do these people think they are!!!

People were shedding tears at Gajeel's death even though that feels less emotional than one especially in terms of impact.

Seriously the people that are bitching at ppl crying is just comical.

Given Hiro Mashima´s history with Fairy Tail it´s highly unlikely that Juvia will stay dead. Although the chapter is clearly  a reference to Musica and Reina, even down to the panel-work with the link between them, the beautiful page-spread panel with the male crying tears of sorrow to contrast the feelings of the female who willingly gave her life away for her beloved one.

I gave this chapter a 5/5, even if a resurrection happens, which I´m almost certain of, this particular chapter keeps it´s quality.

We received a lot of character development for Juvia & a little bit for Gray.

Both characters had uttered passion & love for their comrades, as well as an unwillingness to harm them. Both preferring to harm themselves for the well being of mentioned comrades. In the case of Gray even to the point of dying if necessary. Although his character development rises and falls with the reasons for the motivation to use Ice Shell against Deliora. Therefore his character development can be seen either as little or a lot. Furthermore he´s the one who received a power up which is development on it´s own.

Given all this input, it was a good chapter that´ll remain meaningful regardless of future developments.

Except Reina stayed dead :P

Hiro already pulled Musica and Reina with Gajeel's death, now it's getting stale.

You're right, Grey got -ve development now. All his development with valuing his own life went down the drain. He just spat on the sacrifice of Ul, Ultear and Silver, as well as the development that Natsu gave him. Fuck, Grey was in my top 10 FT characters, not anymore after this

Lol, he didn't spat on any sacrifice those characters made for Gray. They would've been proud of Gray if they saw what he did for Juvia. Infact they would shed tears for him.

He attempted to suicide because he would rather move on living with his girl than without her. This is simply what couples do. Infact Gajeel would've done the same damn thing.

Your hate on for Juvia is making you blind to that. This made me like Gray even more because he brought in something new to the table. Dropping him off your fav list is just retarded tbh

I'll talk about the chapter later but this is something that I had to reply to first.

No, they sacrificed so that Grey could live on.

Grey attempting to commit suicide means that he doesn't value his life anymore, which many people sacrificed to maintain, that's disrespect to them.

So if your lover dies, you've got to suicide too? BS. You've got to live for their sake and for the sake of other people who care about you, and for your own damn sake cause you live only once. And like I said, this is pure disrespect to all the people who sacrificed their life so that Grey could live. Take you twisted philosophy outta here. And no, this has got nothing to do with Juvia, I'm talking about Grey not Juvia here.

If anything,  major part of his charcter development was realizing that his life is precious and he should NEVER let it go, and protect it at all costs.

By the way, Grey was always rejecting her thirsty obsessive ASS time and time again, this ship is forced AF.

It means that Gray cares more about Juvia's well being than his own life. That's the sign of a true gentleman. and you're kind of forgetting the fact that Gray isn't fully control of his body considering Ice Lock.

Juvia is a source of Gray's happiness, and it was only Ul that gave up her life (

Silver was already dead.), and you know why? for Gray to be happy. Since Juvia is Gray's source of happiness, it would make sense to take away the life if there is no happiness.

Gray is not a fucking emotionless robot. That he can live on with every girl and precious family member associated with him dying all around him and smile after that.  I mean he was this mentally strong to still live on before. Juvia's the last straw.

I mean would it make sense for Gray's character to kill Juvia? and be fine with it? Think about it for a fucking second.

Last panel reminded me of how badass Gray is. Fucking boss standing there not giving a shit with a open wound on his lower abdomen, about to kick some ass.

Honestly there's nothing Hiro could do to make the haters happy at this point, they would complain no matter what direction he goes in.

Gee I wonder why that is. Can't possibly be because Mashima squandered any sort of believability or respect with this arc to the point that the only reaction people give to his "this will now get srs and dark guys" statements, is a scoff.

You didn't have to quote me, I really don't want to see the negativity at this point, it's just sad.

Unfortunately there is no safe space on the Internet. Perhaps MAL can add trigger warning tabs for your Fairy Tears.

I'm so tempted to drop my score of Fairy Tail from 3 to 1 after reading this chapter.

Why is that, if you dont mind answering?

Probably a shipper I guessI dislike shipping in general, so nah. Geekwoglasses said:

Why is that, if you dont mind answering? The way the entire chapter plays out, with the overly cheesy bit between Juvia and Gray, and how at the end Gray is all angry, presumably with a power-up, is more laughable than anything. It's as if Juvia's entire purpose is to make Gray stronger, even the romance this chapter felt completely shoehorned in because of their prior interactions and lack of focus on Juvia. All asspulls and superficial emotions, there's nothing here to take seriously.

Chapter was nice... I have mixed feelings about it tho If she stays dead (I doubt it) I will be pleased, tho this chapter has a few plotholes (maybe more?).

First there's still not much explanation on the ice chains, just what they do, but not how they work, as in how can it make someone fight against their own will. Second what blood type are those 2? It just doesn't work that way you know... and the magic she used its BS... sorry but that's how it is, the moment was indeed touching, but all of this can mean nothing if she comes back (will probably happen). I'm looking forward to the next chapter, seems like it will be something big.

Gotta quote yourself on this and give you your answer you use against complainers. "It´s a magical world with different rules, of whom we do not know all yet therefore you´ll have to wait for an answer that may come sometime".

Invel´s ice magic isn´t in any way more alien than the wind magic the phantom lord guy used that erases all magic from the user, which he nearly killed Makarov with. One is essentially a wind based manaburn and the other is an ice based mindcontroll. There is no physics to it, Hiro just applied video game logic to his manga. The same way Brandish can shrink wounds and calling now bullshit on it is kinda late, especially since he was doing that during the Phantom Lord Arc.

What exactly is BS about Juvia´s magic? It didn´t came out of nowhere since she saw Gray die once already. Given her devotion towards him it makes perfect sense for her character to develop a magic like this, considering she´s no healer.

Developing the magic in secret makes all the more sense as everyone else would talk her out of it. As for the problem with blood types. It was never established that there are different blood types in this universe neither if her magic nullifies any of those circumstances or if she is a 0 blood type. There are plenty of excuses Hiro can utilize.

Also let´s be honest you wouldn't´t have any of those complaints if it would have been between Lucy & Natsu.

Been a while and I change my mind on a lot of things... including how I felt about FT (still enjoy it tho). The thing is, its just normal ice, that's it, nothing to it, other abillities and magics he used made somewhat sense, this one doesn't.

There could've been hints about this, about Juvia learning something blood related, maybe I am just nitpicking, but a mention of some sort it would've been nice. And to end, no not really if it was Natsu and Lucy and some stuff did not make sense, I would point them out. Look at Gajeel's farewell to Levy, beautiful, pissed how he was brought back, did it make sense? I am not sure, not really?

I hope Juvia survives this, it was really painful to see those two willing to give up their life for one another, but I'm fine with it either way, this was an awesome chapter

Gray about to do some work

mfw both of them literally commits seppuku at the same time and Juvia's magic saves Gray.
