what i dont get it is, why hater keep read it if they hate how mashima write the story. i hate naruto and bleach, i drop it and not questioning the way the writer did it.
Cause people have invested a lot of time in the series and the series used to be GOAT.
Not everyone is like you, just can't drop it after loving it for so long
that could be a thing. but, instead wasting your time in something you hate. why dont just read other lovable or something which have logical story. i am first, read and found something weird and than complaining. than, i just leave my logic to other side, and just enjoy the story. thats all.

Juvia? Character development?

From the moment she met Gray her character was pretty much destroyed. She was reduced to a character saying the same sentence over and over. Someone will say "yeah but now she cares for the guild" ... yeah ... like all the other chars ?
What I would have done instead of Mashima would have been to have Juvia put some distance between her and Gray and tell him that as long as she doesn't find her own path she understands that he will never be able to love her. And then she would have accepted her own jobs and have her own adventures.
I never blamed Gray for not loving Juvia. You are also your belief, your dreams and your goals. And people love you for that. Juvia is empty and so Gray never loved her.

Well...he's not exactly wrong. Granted Juvia has had her moments, usually away from Gray (vs Lucy, Meredy and Keyes, sacrificing herself for Cana), but...yeah.
And the fake out deaths...oh god, the fake out deaths...

Gray begging for no one other than natsu for revenge ! so does that mean he knows he's stronger than the others if he takes it seriously ??
INVEL know the identity of natsu so maybe he'll tell gray before he dies ??

Given Hiro Mashima´s history with Fairy Tail it´s highly unlikely that Juvia will stay dead. Although the chapter is clearly a reference to Musica and Reina, even down to the panel-work with the link between them, the beautiful page-spread panel with the male crying tears of sorrow to contrast the feelings of the female who willingly gave her life away for her beloved one.
I gave this chapter a 5/5, even if a resurrection happens, which I´m almost certain of, this particular chapter keeps it´s quality.
We received a lot of character development for Juvia & a little bit for Gray.
Both characters had uttered passion & love for their comrades, as well as an unwillingness to harm them. Both preferring to harm themselves for the well being of mentioned comrades. In the case of Gray even to the point of dying if necessary. Although his character development rises and falls with the reasons for the motivation to use Ice Shell against Deliora. Therefore his character development can be seen either as little or a lot. Furthermore he´s the one who received a power up which is development on it´s own.
Given all this input, it was a good chapter that´ll remain meaningful regardless of future developments.
Except Reina stayed dead :P
Hiro already pulled Musica and Reina with Gajeel's death, now it's getting stale.
You're right, Grey got -ve development now. All his development with valuing his own life went down the drain. He just spat on the sacrifice of Ul, Ultear and Silver, as well as the development that Natsu gave him. Fuck, Grey was in my top 10 FT characters, not anymore after this
