Wahl's anti-barrier magic is an AOE, so by destroying the barrier Laxus made, it also destroyed the barrier particles inside of him since he was in Wahl's spell range.

I really loved this chapter, Red Lightning Laxus and especially Wahl's armaments, GIANT RAIL GUN!!!



Looks like Wahl stole that rail gun from Metal Gear Sahelanthropus

Of course laxus was going to win. Everyone from fairy tail will win against the spriggans no matter what. They will have trouble at first then they will talk some emotional crap about the guild or about friendship, get a random powerup and then win. This is how most of the fights happen in FT. There was no way Laxus was going to die.



The only thing interesting going on right now is Zeref and Acnologia. Can't wait to see them again. I would love it if acnologia suddenly appears out of nowhere and one shots someone from the guild like he did with serena but I am sure that won't happen. Guild's plot armor is too strong.

I don't see why people are so salty though, August basically implied back in the escape portion of the arc that Laxus held the power to kill a Spriggan. Y'all need to remember everyone had a full year to train.



Because the fight had several asspulls, wasn't well written, and there was so much convenience in it that favoured Laxus's plot armor, not to mention lack of explanations for red lightning? and Wahl being a supercomputer forgets about Laxus being immune to lightning? How the fuck is that possible?



Laxus won simply because of rapid plot armor, villian trolling and convenience. It's FT after all.



Fight wasn't exactly top tier here. It was more in range with shit.

Wow that was awesome. But more than that I would like to say that our guy Pearl was dam right about laxus 's lightening . He and Rex told that laxu's lightening will turn violet or red. And here we have it .



That magic barrier cancellation plan was good. It would have been lame if he could have lived with taking Etherion head on.



Now the explanation for the dark red part , well it's surely inherited power . But it would have bben better if Yuri's power were shown , even in glimpse , or any reason/training part of laxus.

Took off a week hoping it gets better.

NOPE, the downhill journey continues.



Not only the chapter had so many asspulls, but yet another overhyped spriggan ended up a complete and utter disappointment(not to mention a rip off of Iron Man) who did absolutely NOTHING. Losing against DYING LAXUS is the epitome of what the fuck mashima.



Where are the stakes?

Where is the threat?

Where is the story direction?

All things that made Tartaros so freaking great are nowhere to be found.



Nothing else to say, really. I guess Fairy Tail IS only good for fanservice now, as this is WORSE than GMG already. When is the next chapter with Brandish barking like a dog?
