Fairy Tail has always had overhyped/lackluster villains and invincible protagonists, don't understand why people are still surprised after 400 chapters

Mard Geer was pretty cool...

No wonder people hate on this shit. Introduces god of war... kills it in one hit. smh

Introduces one out of 18 plus one was introduced by Minerva during the GMG. Get your facts straight before you start bitching

Same thing... How am I gonna give a f*ck about the other 17 if one of them gets shitted on just like that.?

These 18 monsters are not the actual GOD the god slayers were trained to slay.. These are Yakuma's friggin Battle Gods and apparently just mediocre beasts who can do little damage. Remember how summoning entirely depends on the user's magical capacity? Arlock was weak. Natsu one-shotting this ikusatsunagi was clearly justified. Get your facts straight!

This was another agressively Fairy Tail chapter, but given Natsu's lineage and the pattern of bad writing that's preceded this chapter from the start, I can't say I'm surprised or disappointed.

Yea same formula different execution. That's how I see it.

I admit though when the whole god thing got summoned, there was some small hope in me that this was gonna be intense, that we are going to be seeing something really badass from Fairy Tail.

But then of course you see Natsu by himself running up the god's blade, and at that moment I knew, my hopes dash, that Natsu was going to pump out the whole repetitive friendship speech.

A silent run and punch would've been just fine. *sigh

See if he introduced that thing 2-3 panels and and Natsu would have oneshotted it, it would have been just a further testiment to Natsus power without being bullshit,

Fodderizing Avatar is not a problem when that´s their purpose.

I gave Fishman Island a 7/10 as an arc because that´s what it´s purpose was.

The problem was the execution, you don´t waste one whole panel just to showcase how massive that thing is. And build it up for 1.5 chapters wasting 30 panels on hyping this shit. Erza commented on it´s power, apparently she knows what the god of "Yamamon" is and that fight probably wil be known as the legendary battle of "Yatogata".

Every Shounen ends the same way, the good guys win the bad guys lose.

Alongside that road they may lose friends/senseis or loved ones. That´s where execution shines. Execution is everything that defines a shounen. Tartarus was a well executed arc with just minor flaws.

If it wasn´t for Erza commenting and 30 panels of hype, this would have been way better execution of the fight. Because you won´t get your hopes up for diversity. You´d see the oneshot and it would be fine. A hyped up enemie needs correct handling, except  their comes someone stronger right after to replace him which is also a frequent writing tool.

One of the eighteen war gods of yakuma....

Wondering who the other 17 are, anyone able to redirect me?*

Yay he's gotten another special attack ^$^

When he punched that Arlock guy the mountain split open a bit, makes me wonder how much damage he can bring to a place using his lightning flame dragon mode with dragon force.

*nvm

....Faulty? You know what, maybe I should just stop quoting because I keep doing something wrong :/

....I say as I quote you

Yes strangely enough my quote looks normal. The other one had your post inside the quote rather than outside it.
