Just want to remind you of OP and the Pacifistas. One time skip and Luffy destroyed easily a Pacifista all Supernovae had trouble fighting with.
And one more thing, it's all about magic power and you don't want to say that the Dark Mage who summoned the God of War was really powerful, do you?
It's only natural that Natsu's that strong if he was training with Gildarts (shown in the mute chapter).
Besides, the "God of War" isn't an actual God, unlike Dragons who are real. It's just like "Sema", the meteor that was summoned by Gérard. And Natsu just showed us that he has more magic power.
Another point: Remember the first chapters. You know Eisenwald and Lullaby? It was somewhat like an introduction, nothing more and nothing less.

Natsu became to powerful. That would be The equivalent of Luffy being admiral level after his own timeskip
And if Hiro wanted to make this win more legit he could've shown Natsu in a slightly altered demonic form since he technically is the strongest demon Zeref created. That way we could have more build up to the overall story

Fairy Tail has always had overhyped/lackluster villains and invincible protagonists, don't understand why people are still surprised after 400 chapters
Becasue tarturs was really
good the demons proved to be match and challenge for everyone to the very end
Now the only things we can look forward to is a wizard who's spell are instand K.O.
blockable only by the (ultimate magic, love) sorry if i spoiled this and harry potter for you.

Lemme tell you that natsu comes from a guild where friendship and feelings are nurtured. And have you forgotten that Natsu uses Flames of emotions, i.e the more he is pissed off the stronger his flames get?
And nakama is only an influence to his strength nothing more.
Vs jellal- DF helped and he was angry on Simons death and him betraying erza
Vs Zero- Flames of rebuke and although I do agree he became strong out of nowhere
Vs Hades - Dual mode and the help from rest of the team plus exceeds
Vs Sting and Rogue- He was too OP for them + dual mode + annoyance on how they treated FT
Vs Future Rogue - Revenge fo Future Lucy and help from Atlas Flame.. Lucy closed the gate and I'm pretty sure the battle would go on if that hadn't happened
Vs Mard Geer - Natsu only wanted that book. He fought but it was gray who did the work (majority)Again, no mentioning of nakama

But he did not use dual mod doring Sting and Rogue as far as i remember. He only used his normal Fire dragon attacks.
And people tend to forget. Just because they are called Gods, it doesn't mean they must be super strong shits. If They were super strong and a simple punch to the face could make them summoned, then i bet a lot of bad people would used them by now.
Edit: Also, a lot of people wanted Lucy to contribute to the fight. It took Igneel's powers to beat this God. What would Lucy have done?
