I really think Kaname needs to die.... I like him

but he is getting in the way of Zero's happiness

The VK LT is different from Twilight. Other than the LT and the vampire AU there are very few similarities.  Bella/Edward is nothing like Yume lol. No one thinks Kaname is abusive towards Yuuki. People just dislike his parental, controlling attitude towards her and the fact that he has killed so many people. Zero is also nothing like Jacob... there is absolutely no real personality comparison to be made.

Just to be clear, I like Kaname but I try to be objective about it. He is far from perfect.

Also, Zero wanted to be with Yuuki alright. That has NEVER CHANGED from the beginning. He let her go with Kaname and relinquished his romantic relationship with her so she could live happily with her pureblood fiance. After Kaname made it clear that he was letting her go, Zero moved in immediately.

Yuuki admiited that she is FOND of Zero. That's it. Deep inside her, there is that feeling of Affection. If there is no continuation in her sentences. I would believe that she will choose Zero. BUT, as for the last pages~

* BUT.. I  (Kaname appeared) *

...

Anyway, I like the Yuuki x Zero moments in this chapter. Yuuki showed a very strong girl character here. (apart from being indecisive.)

~~~~ I hope, because she already admitted her feelings for Zero, she will finally have his answer on who to choose between the two too.
I agree with this. (And about being Kaname fan. XD) From the Zeki scenes it was obvious that while Yuuki does hold feelings for Zero, she, for some reason, doesn't go into that. All of the scenes (not just the ball one) hint on that. Zeki fans will probably rage at me but, unless something huge happens that changes Yuuki's mind big time (Kaname turning into an enemy wasn't huge enough), I really can't see them getting together. But then again, we're talking about a manga that kills villains and solves trouble out of blue.
I also agree about Yuuki being really strong this chapter. Clearly, she didn't want to settle down for Zero just like that. On top she FINALLY got together her feelings about Zero. Now it's time to get together her feelings about Kaname. Jumping between these two just shows that there's at least one of them she isn't sure how she feels about. Though, getting together her feelings about Zero could have helped her to sort her feelings for Kaname. Seriously, romantic focus of this manga is driving me nuts. I feel like dropping this. I hate this sort of story that is about nothing else but the main heroine choosing between two guys and being in love with both.
As much as I'm a Kaname and KanaYuu fan, I seriously just want the love triangle solved and manga concluded, I don't care if everyone dies or we get a Zeki spawn or what. It's getting ridiculous, the trouble, the indecisiveness, the plot, well, everything feels messed up. It's turning into a cliche shoujo (seriously, BoyA showing up that way on a masquerade ball, BoyB dancing with the Girl, near kiss while dancing, romantic chatting at the balcony, we're only missing flowers everywhere). Also when was the last time we saw anyone but the main trio having longer appearance than 3 pages? Don't get me started on how random was visiting the ball and the ball itself.
Seems I'm one of the few people on this forum that hates Zero and supports Kaname. I don't know to me Zero is an asshole and will always be an asshole. I can't ever come to like Zeki and if Kaname dies in the end and it is Zeki then my rating of this manga and anime will probably drop to about a four or a five.
Why you ask? Because it's cliche. Do you know how many manga there are where the girl gets the "bad boy" that she always fights with? Yes it's cute in some instances but it gets tiring after a while and I'd like something new once in a while. Hino-sensei will also lose my respect if she gives this a cliche ending.
The endgame pairing, whether it be Yume or Zeki does not in itself make something cliched. It's the plot that leads to the conclusion that makes something cliched. My opinion.
As far as character tropes go I agree Zero is the typical silver-haired violet eyed angst/emo bishie. But Kaname is also the typical sophisticated/rich dark supreme prince/ leader of all stereotype we've all seen before.
Also I don't recall any asshole behaviour from Zero, maybe you could give some examples?
Maybe you're right about the plot thing rather than the end pair, I'll take that into consideration but I doubt my feelings will change. As for Kaname being a stereotype as well, to be honest I've never seen a character like Kaname in a shoujo manga before (at least not a lead character).
I'll provide asshole examples after I respond to this other person.
now cut to kaname who while not an asshole in personality, he pretty much is the definition of the word asshole through every single action he makes......actually hes a asshole in personality too now that i think about it seeing how selfish the dude it. Still hes literally caused every bad thing that has happened to any character in in this series......he also the reason this manga became so god awful which in and of itself should get anyone to hate the fucker
Yah i know im going off on a tangent here that has nothing to do with what im replying to, but i dont care kaname is seriously the worst written and most unlikable characters i ever have laid eyes upon, It literally baffles me how this character is so downright unlikable and lacks even the slightest bit of redeeming features, I was somewhat forgiving of it originally when i thought he was going to be the main villain and i was pretty much going to be completely forgiving of it a few chaps back when they pretty much confirmed he was the main bad, but no this manga is so terribly written that not only are they not making him an antagonist but they want us to feel bad for this horrible person? are you shitting me? God if this writer made a WW2 drama would she try to make hitler a tragic character?
I call Zero an asshole because most of his actions have been based off his FEELINGS, everything he does that's hurtful to Yuuki is because of HIS feelings, not her's or anyone else's, meaning he's the selfish one.
In Kaname's case, yes his actions seem bad on the top but you also have to understand that everything he does he not only does for a reason but he also does for someone else. The only selfish thing this guy has ever done is want Yuuki for himself and even then I'm pretty sure he would give her up if it meant she could be happy. He's one of the most selfless anime/manga characters I've ever seen (right after Itachi Uchiha). As for how anyone can like him? I find it easy to like him because I see a lot of similarities between us. He's not the type to exhibit his emotions easily, just like me, so even though one can't see he's in pain I know that he is. I'm also the type that would do anything to protect the people I care about even if it meant becoming a villain myself. Actually I find it MUCH easier to sympathize with Kaname than with Zero who takes all his negative emotions out on other people.
All Kaname needs is someone to bitch slap him and bring him back to his senses, let him know that he doesn't have to do this much. Which is always felt that he needed someone like Yuuki more than Zero, who I think someone gentler and sensible like Yori or Maria would suit him better.
Finally allow me to provide some examples of Zero being an a-hole:
I cried really. This is my most favorite part of this manga. Zero is being true to himself. I feel his emotions letting it Yuki to know. Their lines when Zero said "Youre similar to a precious girl who died a year ago." while having their mask on. As if Zero is trying to blame their fates why those thing happened to them when they can love each other. Geezzzz! Ive been waiting for this so long! Im screaming i love this chapter so much!
Kaname should get what he wants..........i cared for zero in the beginning but the one who's suffering the real pain is kaname........
btw please tell me where i can see this manga .....sites are saying that this is not available yet
Sorry but if we are to measure Kaname and Zero in terms of "pain" then I would say they´re both equal. Dont put Zero down, Kaname´s pain is not bigger than Zero.
Kaname lost his "parents" and his first love. Zero lost his parents and his brother. So I guess none suffered more than the other. Zero is also in "real" pain.
And honestly no matter how much I pity Kaname (I do pity him because he is trying to carry a big burden by himself and still wants to protect Yuuki) I can never forget for one second that Kaname was indirectly responsible for Zero´s family tragedy.
This is my opinion.
