I've said this before, I believe this  manga is all about letting go of the pasts, and being able to understand that the past should not shackle you but improve your character. All these protagonists seem conflicted with their pasts and cannot move past it.



Good point!    Yes, I see a lot of development in her in the last few chapters too, like she is putting the different parts of herself back together.

plus without criticism media wont be able to make improvements, take for example cod series in gaming, critics dont give it any faults so it continually becomes worse and worse with the devs thinking they are being well recieved

Why you ask? Because it's cliche. Do you know how many manga there are where the girl gets the "bad boy" that she always fights with? Yes it's cute in some instances but it gets tiring after a while and I'd like something new once in a while. Hino-sensei will also lose my respect if she gives this a cliche ending.



The endgame pairing, whether it be Yume or Zeki does not in itself make something cliched. It's the plot that leads to the conclusion that makes something cliched. My opinion.



As far as character tropes go I agree Zero is the typical silver-haired violet eyed angst/emo bishie. But Kaname is also the typical sophisticated/rich dark supreme prince/ leader of all stereotype we've all seen before.



Also I don't recall any asshole behaviour from Zero, maybe you could give some examples?

Actually, me, too.

It started so good I finnaly thought we could see some good development with Yuki and Zero but that Kaname sure has timing.

I am going to confess that I am a Kaname fan but I don't hate the other characters, I just feel that Yukki needs to grow up, I said before she was running in circles, I really don't understand why she doesn't choose someone and get done with it, I think people are right here when they call her stupid or crazy, she lost it, the girl has lost it the moment she got her fangs, the reason why she is half starved is because she is stupid, Kaname is way mature than her but he loves her, probably because she is innocent and pure, that doesn't change the fact that she is stupid, I will keep saying it, no offence to any Yuki fan.



Also if Zero seriously wanted to be with her, he would have done something about it, even if Kaname was stronger, I think Hino should introduce a character that is easier for Zero to be with (no offence to zero and yuki fans) this is just my opinion.



It's also remarkable how similar true vampires can be, you can almost compare Kaname to Edward Cullen in terms of personality, looking at how many people are hating Kaname I feel quite surprised, it's like the beginning of the twilight saga when everyone were crazy about Edward Cullen then when it ended everyone called him abusive and Bella should have been with Jacob instead, it's almost like the Yuki, Kaname and Zero love triangle.

I do wonder if most people (not all of course) who say that the story isn't going anywhere are people who are Zeki or Zero fans. XD And were kind of talking about the point where the manga shifted to be more about Kaname and revealing his past, setting up his plans, and so forth.



I also know that for me reading a new chapter once a month (or sometimes once every two months when a month is skipped).  It's actually really hard to keep up with what all is happening in the manga.  I just recently re-read the entire thing from page one to chapter 87 and I have to say that it pieced a lot of things together for me and really gave me a much better understanding of what all has been going on.



I guess I understand it more because I just started reading the maga last week and Iv'e been reading the chapters back to back. But now I have to wait like everyone else haha.

Kaname should get what he wants..........i cared for zero in the beginning but the one who's suffering the real pain is kaname........
