Damn, fuck Ivar. He and his people acting out solely out of self interest.

Anyways, quite an abrupt turn of events. What will Thorfinn do now?

Overall not a bad chapter at all to say the least, but I can understand people getting upset by this.

Why would it be fuck ivar? He saved thorfinn lol

He didn't because Thorfinn could defend himself easily. Also, the tribe did not hear what the old man said, and they weren't close enough to see what was happening. They will definitely misinterpret what happened because they don't know the details, only the outcome. The safest option was for Thorfinn to dodge or hold the old man's hand.

Nah, I’m with ivar on this one. The guy was in front of everyone lifting an axe.

I am not saying he was 100% wrong, but we are talking here about tribal people.

Tribes are known to stand with their people even if they were the ones who instigated hostility.

Thorfinn dealt with people before bare hands ... why wouldn't he be able to deal with some old man?

For sure they’ll side with their people but I’m not gonna slate ivar, for defending thorfinn. Thorfinn hasn’t fought in years.

Even if he didn't fight in years, it doesn't change the fact that he can deal with this. You might not be totally in shape but you are still capable.

I am against what Ivar did because the whole point of the trip to Vinland is to build a peaceful country. However Ivar had the mentality of a warrior and didn't really care about the peace part and was focusing more on going to a fertile land.

Anyways, I like where the story is going because it shows how difficult is to create a land of peace

You’re entitled to your opinion

And that's the point of no return... just like history this doesn't seem to be any different at the very end

Ivar doesnt know that Thorfinn can fight and he doesnt know his past. Thorfinn is just a pacifist person for Ivar.

Makes sense .. maybe I don’t remember to be honest. Don’t they know he became the leader of Jormsvikings?

Im not sure, but imo they dont know.

That mf finally did it, he crossed the line.

After seeing this chapter I think that everything is gonna go downhill from here, personally I think that Thorfin's dream of creating a utopia is gonna be spoiled.

Overall great chapter, the pace has finally picked up after some quiet last few chapters. Cant wait for more!!!!!!!!!

So people are blaming Ivar? Imo it's more of the old man's fault. What do you expect trying to harm a leader in front of his group. And Ivar doesn't even know that thorfinn could have dealt with the old man on his own. He just protected his leader which makes perfect sense.
