I look forward to seeing how Thorfinn is going to stick to his vow. I expect that he's going to pull a Thors and deal some serious damage to an entire brigade without killing a single one of them.



I too was confused by Canute's "Lost Love" line. I've been marathoning the manga in the last couple of days and the previous volumes are still fresh in my mind, but still, it doesn't ring a bell.



EDIT: come to think of it, the manga-ka has yet to cover Canute's marriages. Historical records showed that he was fond of his second wife, Emma of Normandy, that he had married around the time he took rule over England. Could the "lost love" line be referring to her?

Things are actually getting pretty exciting now.

I checked the raws for this chapter. Canute's line that caused this debate roughly translates to "all of this is for the love that has been lost", which could be a reference to the biblical love thing that the priest talked about that initiated Canute's change.



It makes a lot more sense than the "lost love" line that has everyone so confused.

you wish! the only thing Thorfinns going to hurt now is his left hand!

If they're going to let Thorfinn go, he should get a choice. Fight Canute's men, or escape. And if he escapes, he'll have to fight them at some time. So i'm expecting battles.

Thorgil might be a brute but he certainly got some wit to him unlike his foolish brother who hopefully will be a lot more humble after this whole ordeal (if he survives that is)
