It was cold and icy, and it was snowing heavily. The frozen trees had heavy piles of snow on their shoulders. I was about seven years old. In that dark and scorching night, I was running through the forest in a torn white robe that barely kept me warm. It was so dark I couldn\'t see anything, and my breathing was getting heavier and heavier.
After running for a while, I suddenly felt that the trees were no longer around me. It was as if I had come out of the forest. I took my steps slowly and cautiously, gathering all my senses so as not to cause any danger. But when I finally stopped, I felt something cold and hard under my feet. The fog gradually moved away and when I looked down, I saw the dead bodies of \"Wermors\", demons and monsters that hit the earth like deadly meteors with a blue halo from the sky, causing destruction and curse.
I walked among those bodies and continued on my way. My eyes stared at images that were hard to believe corpses of humans, dwarves, elves, half-humans, and several dragons. It was as if there had been a great battle between the Wormours and other races. Shocked and aimless, I searched for something that could be useful.
Meanwhile, I heard a voice from the other side of the battlefield; The sound of muffled moans that told of endless wounds and pain. I followed the sound and after a short search I found a white baby deer with two small antlers trying to pick up a larger deer that had fallen to the ground lifeless. I approached slowly, but the baby deer was ready to attack me with a strong guard and sharp eyes. I took a few steps away and sat down, I tried to talk to him, maybe he would calm down.
I said in a soft and calm voice: \"Are you upset? Angry? Do you want to avenge your loved ones? You want to avenge the blood that was spilled, but you can\'t, right? I know, I can\'t do anything. It\'s all the fault of this cursed age and damned Wormours!\"
After a while, when I got sad, the little deer glanced at me and approached. And then I let go of my sad knees. He was pointing that he wanted to be next to me, so I let him sit next to me. He slowly put his head on my leg and I started caressing him. I gently put my hands on his head and waist and said: \"We both have one thing in common. We both lost our families, we lost our normal life, we don\'t even get a good meal and many other things. \"
After a few moments of silence, filled with anger and sadness, I calmed down and continued: \"My name is Warren. Of course, you are an animal, you may not understand what I am saying hahaha. But let me choose a name for you...\" for a while I thought, and then with a smile that was a little strange in this bitter situation, I said: \"I\'ll name you Caden. This name suits you, you look like an elf and mischievous. Do you like your name?\"
Caden was happy to hear these words and got up. He jumped to me and licked my face lovingly. For a brief moment, amidst all the corpses and destruction, auroras appeared in the sky. The vivid colors and the dancing aurora seemed to revive the dead sky. Caden and I were both blown away watching it. This was the first time we had seen such a stunningly beautiful thing.
After Twilight ended, I looked at Caden in a serious voice and said, \"I want to end this cursed evening. Do you want it too, Caden?\"
Caden came closer to me and showed his approval by rubbing his muzzle against mine. A new adventure was ahead and this was only the beginning of our journey.
