“As promised, I’ve fixed your leg, so I’ll leave now.”
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say I’ve come this far for this moment.
I’ll certainly spend the rest of my days enjoying leisure in a quiet countryside and peacefully conclude my life.
“I won’t allow it.”
But, the empress won’t let me go!

Overlord the novels? Really great, with much greater dark fantasy depth than the anime.
There's this popular I Am The Fated Villain. Mc is pure evil schemer sc*m. Not my cup of tea because I dislike both rape and harems but the scheme part is good.
History's strongest senior brother. Not really evil but it was good. Dropped it out of boredom at round 1.3k chapters.
A Black Market Litrpg. Evil fantasy intergalactic mafia boss reincarnated into steampunk magic fantasy. Does typical gangster sh1t. Selling weed, opening wh*r* house, fighting in gang wars, etc.
Custom Made Demon king. MC is a demon in Hell. Multiverse with hell and heaven fighting (n more). Tons of references (like Mc entering worlds of Magic Gathering, or Diablo's, etc...)
Mc got a system and was an artist. Can draw stuff into reality for souls. Tricks pple left n right and become rich 👍.
Dont really know or remember other evil novels.
The story started off as a promising slow-burn romance with a suspenseful countdown and a likable cast. However, issues arose in the latter chapters. Here's a summary of the main problems:
1. Lifespans: Astria, the empress, and Sena, the doctor, initially had less than 80 days to live. Astria's situation made sense since it was tied to her illness, but Sena's lifespan was presented as fixed and unchangeable, which became inconsistent. For example, in chapter 57, he had 60 days left, but within a few chapters, time discrepancies appeared, suggesting either a lack of attention to detail or poor storytelling.
2. Character Age and Behavior: Both characters, despite being in their late teens to early twenties, acted younger, around 13-15 years old. Sena's childlike behavior was more noticeable, like using physical displays of anger and being easily lifted. Astria's innocence regarding relationships was also unrealistic, leading to confusion about their maturity level.
3. Relationship Dynamics: The author seemed unsure about Sena's feelings for Astria, oscillating between hate and unspoken affection. Additionally, inconsistencies in their relationship milestones, like Astria's supposed hickey, raised doubts about the narrative's continuity.
4. Plot Shift: The story devolved into a generic adventure novel with a forced romantic angle. Sena and Astria, who were not in love, suddenly found themselves on a journey together, with a shortened time frame that felt rushed. The focus shifted from their relationship development to a quest, lacking any believable emotional connection.
In conclusion, while the beginning of the story had potential, the recent chapters have significantly detracted from its appeal. If you enjoy stories about limited lifespans or yandere themes, it might be worth stopping at chapter 68. Otherwise, the book might not be worth the investment of time.
