Then, he noticed, that among the guys who ordered him to fight as a brave, the figure of one of his former comrades could be seen.

「……I will make you regret having betrayed me.」

A girl then appears before him as he is consumed by hatred, but not any ordinary girl – she is the former demon king who is also aiming to take revenge.

It's a tale of revenge, though subtle, as both the protagonist and heroine harbor their own scores to settle. There's no malicious intent or sadistic acts, just a tinge of resentment, occasional pranks, and mild harassment - the main character's anger is almost imperceptible. The narrative evolves into a typical Japanese reincarnation plot with the main characters displaying extraordinary abilities, striving to save others. Despite its initial charm, the story seems to be following a familiar formula. While it's suitable for children and provides an entertaining way to pass the time, it hasn't yet stood out from the crowd. I hope readers update their reviews, acknowledging its strengths, particularly for those looking for a lighthearted escape.

It's unfortunate that the writing lacks depth and originality. None of the characters, including Luser, develop distinct personalities throughout the entire volume. Luser himself isn't particularly amusing, but rather stands out due to his more defined traits. This work ranks among the driest I've come across, with an entirely ordinary and unengaging plot.

The revenge-themed story lacks depth and originality. The protagonist frequently utters violent intentions, but so far, their actions have only targeted minor antagonists, leaving the main antagonist unharmed and still causing trouble. There needs to be more complexity and intensity in the narrative.

In summary, the writing quality of this story is extremely poor, bordering on稚嫩, as if it was intended for a six-year-old audience. There are no intricate details, proper exposition, or convincing dialogue; instead, the author relies heavily on the catchphrase "I SEKAI REVENGE."

The vibe of "Nidome no Yuusha" may not be your typical hero story, but I absolutely love it! It's refreshing to come across a plot where the demon queen appears unexpectedly. What I appreciate is that the main character, despite the early encounter, doesn't undergo a significant mindset change like a typical hero. This sets up an intriguing dynamic for the upcoming conflicts and the sweet, satisfying revenge arc that I'm excited to see play out.

Firstly, let's address the central topic of discussion among reviewers: the story revolves around revenge, and yes, it does involve a fair share of brutality and sadistic elements. The protagonist indeed engages in numerous confrontations, both lethal and involving torture, but it's important to clarify that it's not gratuitous violence or exploitation (as seen in some other works).

In my view, while I don't mind a certain level of violence, this novel has its fair share, but the main character isn't portrayed as a mindless killer. They don't resort to violence at the slightest provocation, which sets it apart from some other revenge-themed novels (like those found in the light novel genre with over-the-top reactions).

Compared to "Nidome no Yuusha," the gory aspects are toned down, along with the excessive chuuni (magical girl) and angsty elements. This makes the story feel more grounded and relatable. The drama and psychological turmoil, though present, are woven throughout genuine character interactions, preventing the MC from being a one-dimensional revenge machine. The comic relief moments fit well within the narrative.

The translation quality is satisfactory, with occasional errors and awkward phrasing, but overall, it's easy to read. The story's premise is intriguing, and the pacing keeps the reader engaged. However, there are a few forced interactions, but so far, the author has managed to steer clear of creating a harem dynamic. That's why I deducted a star.

The story progresses at a relatively leisurely pace and carries a PG-13 rating. As others have mentioned, it's a significantly milder adaptation of Nidome, filled with overused tropes. However, my primary reason for discontinuing the series is its poor translation quality; it's nearly impossible to follow due to grammatical errors scattered throughout every other sentence.

If you've experienced the story "Nidome no Yuusha," you'll resonate with this tale. There are certainly differences: in Nidome no Yuusha, the main character (MC) returns to the initial moment of their summoning, whereas in this one, the MC is actually transported to the future, which means that all other characters are aware of who he is and the injustices committed against him, unlike the earlier series. Up to chapter 5, it's been an enjoyable read.
