Also known as Nosferatu Zodd or Zodd the Immortal, he is an apostle who has lived for three centuries, engaging in countless battles to find worthy opponents. Zodd can transform from his human-like form into a more fearsome creature, resembling a minotaur with the face and tail of a tiger, and bat-like wings that he can retract and grow at will. During a castle raid, Zodd first encountered Guts and Griffith, defeating them but sparing their lives after recognizing Griffith's crimson behelit and Guts' inevitable fate. Over time, Zodd developed rivalries with both Skull Knight and Guts, especially as Guts became a more formidable opponent. Eventually, Zodd found what he considered the "Ultimate Strong One" in Griffith. However, within a dream, he was swiftly defeated by Griffith, losing his left horn in the process. With this defeat, his search for the ultimate opponent ended, and he pledged his loyalty to Griffith and the new Band of the Hawk. In this new band, Zodd serves in many roles similar to those Guts held in the old one: as Griffith's right-hand man, most trusted confidant, and strongest warrior. His ability to fly enabled significant events, such as Griffith rescuing Charlotte and Guts attacking Ganishka at Vritannis. The missing left horn serves as a constant reminder of his defeat and symbolizes his role as a replacement for Guts in the new Band of the Hawk, much like Guts' missing right eye.
