Snorunt is a small, black Pokémon with an oval-shaped body. It features circular, light blue eyes, wide teeth, and spherical hands and feet that do not have digits. This Pokémon is covered by a yellow cloak which gives it a triangular outline. The cloak has an orange stripe around its edge and three orange diamond patterns on the back. Given that its evolved form, Glalie, has a rocky body, Snorunt might also be composed of rock. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, defeating a Snorunt, Glalie, or Froslass yields "Snorunt fur," suggesting that the cloak could be made of fur.
Well-suited for cold environments, Snorunt survives by consuming snow and ice and can endure temperatures as low as -150 degrees Fahrenheit (-100 degrees Celsius). This Pokémon is social and tends to live and travel in groups of five. These groups coexist harmoniously under large leaves. Snorunt can typically be found in caves, especially when there is no snow outside or in areas with heavy snowfall. Interestingly, Snorunt populations in Alola indicate that they can survive in some warm weather locations. Additionally, these creatures are known to visit human homes. There's a legend stating that any home visited by Snorunt will enjoy prosperity for generations. A tradition exists where households leave a block of pure water ice for Snorunt during visits. Playing with Snorunt is a cherished childhood memory for wealthy individuals living in cold regions. It is believed that if Snorunt appears at night, heavy snow will fall by morning.
Evolution
Snorunt evolves into either Glalie or, if female, Froslass.
