Doduo is a two-headed, bipedal bird-like Pokémon. Each head features a long, sharp beak and two small, black eyes. Its body and both heads are covered with a bristly, down-like layer of brown feathers. Males have black, flexible necks, while females have brown necks; both genders possess brown legs. Each foot has four digits ending in sharp claws. Both heads contain identical brains, although it's speculated that they might sometimes have different brains. It is also theorized that the two heads communicate via some form of telepathy to coordinate their actions. Even when one head is sleeping or eating, the other remains awake and alert, keeping watch for potential threats.
Due to its nearly non-existent wings, Doduo cannot fly effectively. However, it has evolved powerful legs that make it an excellent runner. Capable of reaching speeds up to 60 mph (100 km/h), it strides energetically across plains, leaving deep footprints about 4 inches (10 centimeters) behind. By raising and lowering its two heads, it maintains better balance while running. Doduo typically inhabits wide open plains, grasslands, and savannahs.
