Sano can transform towels into steel by holding his breath, but observant fans notice that sometimes it seems to be voice-activated instead. After issuing commands, he has a moment or two before he needs to stop breathing.
Sano, a 9th grader at Inaho Junior High School, was known as the Genius of Robert's Ten while he was part of the group. He joined because Karlpaccho, the leader of Robert's Ten, placed a Death Pentagon on Sano's King of the Celestial World Candidate, Inumaru. This would kill Inumaru by draining all his blood unless Sano obeyed Robert.
Sano is creative with his power, crafting shields, springboards, and even boomerangs he calls "boomerang cutters."
His Level 2 ability turns his steel towels into powerful magnets. He seems to have an endless supply of towels, pulling them out of his robe in quick succession. He even keeps an emergency towel tied around his forehead.
He has a burn over his left eye from a hot spring accident but still loves visiting hot springs. He hopes to obtain the talent of discovery to find a hot spring of his own.
