Rinko comes from a wealthy family, and in the past, many people pretended to be her friends to get gifts from her. Disillusioned by the apparent cold-heartedness of the world, she falls under Robert's hypnotic charm and joins the Ten. Initially, she has a crush on Robert because he treats her like a genuine friend, but she eventually sees through his facade and aligns herself with Ueki, becoming his guardian and caretaker.
Her Celestial King Candidate is Nikay, a follower of Margarette whom she hasn't seen since the battle began.
She loves all animals and quickly bonds with Tenko (whom she calls "Tenko-chan"), but her fondness for cute things makes her susceptible to Ban's power.
It's unwise to insult her, as she has a hidden "evil" side that emerges when someone offends her. This aggressive side seems oblivious to her love for animals, as shown when she ruthlessly swats away Ban's cute, living Pick with her special glove and then beats him up.
Another instance occurs at the end of the manga series when she confesses her love to Robert, who inadvertently insults her by calling her "small fry." This causes her to severely injure Robert, requiring him to be hospitalized for two weeks.
In the anime's epilogue, Ai mentions that Rinko and Robert only dated once before Rinko ended their relationship for reasons unknown.
