The second main character in the series, Rikuo, is currently Kazahaya's co-worker and roommate. He was also the one who discovered Kazahaya nearly dead in the snow. Like Kazahaya, Rikuo's enigmatic past involves a woman named Tsukiko, who is hinted to be family, though their exact relationship remains unclear. Rikuo often comes off as cold and insensitive, and he enjoys teasing Kazahaya. Despite his aloof demeanor, he always steps in to help Kazahaya when things go wrong on their jobs. Rikuo possesses telekinetic-like abilities, enabling him to break objects such as cups, locks, and branches.
Kazahaya mentions that he and Rikuo are the same age, making Rikuo 17 years old. Among the two protagonists, Rikuo is notably calmer and quieter. He is also taller and more masculine in appearance, attracting frequent visits from high school girls who ask for help finding items just to talk to him. An interesting trait of Rikuo's is his fondness for sweets like chocolate, which is considered unusual and not very masculine in Japanese society.
