Being highly experienced in her field, Yuuko is too wise to reveal her real name like Watanuki does. Besides that, she has played a significant role in Watanuki's transformation, serving as a mentor of sorts. She enjoys indulging in Watanuki's excellent cooking and frequently drags him on spontaneous adventures at the slightest whim.
Despite her seemingly immature and carefree demeanor, Yuuko can be sage-like and serious when necessary. She seems to know the true fate that awaits Watanuki and often provides cryptic warnings about potential dangers or folklore he should take more seriously. Her genuine concern for his well-being is evident, ensuring he is safe at night by sending the Kudakitsune (pipe-fox) with him for protection or calling Doumeki when he needs help.
Yuuko possesses immense magical powers and knowledge, earning her high respect within the spirit realm. However, she usually refrains from direct involvement beyond fulfilling wishes made under contract. Occasionally, she sends Watanuki to handle tasks for her, such as when she granted Himawari's wish. In the grand scheme of things, Yuuko acts like a chess player, orchestrating events from behind the scenes.
In Horitsuba Gakuen, she is portrayed as a strict principal who always enters rooms through the window.
