Prinplup is a blue, penguin-like Pokémon. It primarily features dark blue coloring with light blue accents on its face, wing tips, and lower body. Its eyes are blue, and it sports a short yellow beak with a small point above it. Two large, yellow ridges extend from its beak over the back of its head, converging just above the nape of its neck. Four prominent white spots resembling buttons are visible on its body. Instead of arms, Prinplup has long, sturdy flipper-like wings capable of knocking down and breaking trees. Its legs are short, ending in yellow, three-toed feet.
Prinplup possesses a strong sense of self-pride, which prevents it from forming groups with others of its kind. This Pokémon can typically be found in icy waters, where it hunts for prey. Prinplup is adept at swimming gracefully through cold seas. Its singing voice has been likened to the sound of a roaring tide.
Evolution
Prinplup evolves from Piplup and later evolves into Empoleon.
