Pichu is a petite, ground-dwelling rodent Pokémon with light yellow fur. Its ears, collar, and tail are black and have angular shapes. Pichu's pink cheek pouches can hold small amounts of electricity, and its tiny nose resembles a dot. Although classified as a quadruped, Pichu can walk on its hind legs effortlessly.
Pichu is known for being a social Pokémon with a playful and mischievous nature. It tends to live in groups and often touches tails with other Pichu as a display of bravery, which results in sparks that may make them cry. This Pokémon struggles with storing electricity and might accidentally discharge when amused, startled, or shocked. However, it cannot release electricity without experiencing a shock itself. Pichu finds it easier to charge up on dry days or under thunderclouds. The static electricity it generates can be heard crackling. While it can give an adult human a zap, it will be surprised by its own actions. Pichu primarily inhabits forests but has also been shown to thrive in urban settings.
Forms
Pichu has a variant form known as Spiky-eared Pichu, which is exclusively female. This form features three spikes on the tip of each ear but otherwise looks identical to a regular Pichu.
Evolution
Pichu evolves into Pikachu, which then evolves into Raichu.
