Nidoking is a large, bipedal, purple mammalian Pokémon with notable reptilian traits. It possesses narrow eyes, sizable spiny ears, tufts of fur-like hair on its cheeks, and a short snout lined with sharp teeth. A long, venomous horn protrudes from its forehead, complemented by a row of spines running down its back. Its chest and belly are shielded by gray plates, while each elbow sports a rounded, gray spine. Each hand features three claws, contrasting with its single hoof-like nail per foot. Nidoking boasts a formidable, lengthy tail. This species exclusively comprises males.
It's rumored that Nidoking’s tail can topple a metal transmission tower. This appendage serves to smash, constrict, or break the bones of both prey and adversaries. The tail can also create space between Nidoking and its enemies before it charges forward. Its hide, comparable to steel, enhances its destructive, charging attacks. Notably, Nidoking’s horn has the strength to crush diamonds. It takes immense pride in its power. When enraged, Nidoking becomes uncontrollable; only a longtime companion Nidoqueen can soothe it. According to manga depictions, Nidoking secretes potent acid from its claws. As an evolved form via an Evolution stone, Nidoking is seldom found in the wild but can inhabit savannas and plains.
