Dratini is a reptilian Pokémon characterized by its blue, serpentine body and white underbelly. It features three-pronged, white fins on the sides of its head and a white bump on its forehead, which is actually its horn developing. Above its round, white snout are oval, purple eyes.
Dratini's life energy continuously builds, leading to constant growth. This Pokémon can grow to lengths exceeding six feet (2 meters). As it grows, it regularly sheds its skin. During this process, it hides behind a fast-flowing waterfall for protection, as its new skin is soft and vulnerable. The shed skin can be tanned and used to make luxury boots. Dratini has been dubbed the "Mirage Pokémon" due to its existence once being considered merely a myth. Its discovery was first made by a fisherman who spent ten hours trying to catch one. Additionally, a small underwater colony has since been found, further confirming its existence. Dratini prefers habitats near or within bodies of water with rapid currents, such as pools at the base of waterfalls. It leads a tranquil life underwater, feeding on any food that descends to the bottom.
Evolution
Dratini evolves into Dragonair, which in turn evolves into Dragonite.
