Lord Gennon is a prominent noble in Chuder. In the early days of the Band of the Hawk, he hired them for various tasks. Known for his pedophilia, he became infatuated with Griffith, which reached its peak when Griffith agreed to sleep with him in exchange for funds to support the growing Band. Gennon is often seen surrounded by very young male servants, no older than their teens. His voice was performed by Masashi Oki in the Japanese version of the original anime, and Fred Velde voiced him in English.
Gennon later ascended to become the Governor of Doldrey. When General Boscone revealed that the Band of the Hawk's leader was Griffith, Gennon's obsession began to cloud his judgment, leading to his eventual downfall. During the One Hundred Years War, when the Band of the Hawk attacked Doldrey as part of Midland’s regular army, Gennon became so fixated on capturing Griffith that it compromised his broader military objectives. Chuder lost the battle largely because Gennon took direct control of the forces, overriding the military command structure—a move that played right into Griffith’s strategy. In his final moments, Gennon pleaded with Griffith, confessing that all he wanted was to have him back. This plea fell on deaf ears as Gennon was killed by Griffith after the main part of Chuder’s army fled following General Boscone's death at the hands of Guts.
