Axew is a bipedal, grayish-green Pokémon with pale, straight tusks extending from the sides of its mouth. These tusks have the ability to regenerate if broken or lost, growing back stronger and sharper each time. This regeneration process continually enhances their durability and sharpness. Axew's tusks serve various functions, including marking territory by making gashes in trees and rocks, playing with other Pokémon, and crushing Berries for consumption. Historically, humans utilized discarded tusks from Axew as makeshift cooking knives.
The rear of Axew's head features a dark grayish-green hue and is adorned with a tall, slightly curved horn. Its large, red eyes are encircled by dark grayish-green ovals, and it possesses a short, rounded snout with prominent nostrils. A forest green ring encircles its neck, distinguishing this area. Axew's limbs and tail are relatively short; its forelimbs have three digits, while its feet have two. As depicted in the anime, Axew demonstrates proficiency in climbing walls and trees. It typically resides in nests constructed underground.
Evolution
Axew evolves into Fraxure, which subsequently evolves into Haxorus.
