Sceptile is a reptilian, bipedal Pokémon. Its neck is somewhat elongated, and it has two crests on its head. It possesses semicircular, yellow eyes with red rims. The lower jaw and a belt-like band across its waist are colored red. Along its back, there are two lines running down the middle and two rows of yellow nodules referred to as seeds. Its tail resembles that of a palm tree's branch. Both of its long arms have two sharp, elongated leaves and three claws.
Sceptile is a jungle Pokémon. In the jungle, it has no equals in combat. The seeds on its back store nutrients said to revitalize trees. It can leap freely from branch to branch. Despite its ability to slice through thick trees, Sceptile is known for caring lovingly for forest plants. This Pokémon regulates its body temperature by basking in sunlight.
Forms
Sceptile can Mega Evolve into Mega Sceptile. As Mega Sceptile, its head crests become sharper with a round portion missing from the middle. Red markings surround its eyes, which become smaller and narrower. The yellow seeds on its back grow larger. The last pair of seeds turn red, while the pair above turns orange. Red stripes encircle the base of its tail and run across its lower belly. The leaves on its wrists become more pointed, with red tips and half-circles cut out of the middles. Leaf-like plates cover its chest and shoulders, similar to those forming its tail. Mega Sceptile’s tail grows longer and develops a red stinger at the tip.
Mega Sceptile can detach a part of its tail to fire it like a missile at an opponent. Its lost tail will regenerate as long as it still has the energy required for Mega Evolution.
Evolution
Sceptile evolves from Grovyle and is the final form of Treecko.
